The bad thing about myspace is that there is a lot of sexual predators.
The good thing is that there is a lot of sexual prey...

Posing as a janitor that gives free candy for sex sounds a little shady there, Ricky.

Hotter plugs and wires

EVOs cooling kit and spacers

Light weight racing battery

Is anyone running iridium plugs and new wires? Any noticable difference?

...........yet to run against a K2. Most K2's are running mid 12's this hot summer. Fastest time this summer for me has been 12.1. Fastest time ever was 11.9 but that was last November before a bunch of the additional mods were done. So I think my car will hold up just fine against a K2.

...............Oh! I forgot to add I just added light weight battery and Iridium 16 spark plugs. I did not use the magnecor wires because they are too stiff and kept popping off from the head of the plug and causing Cylinder misfiring I still have them if anyone wants them pm me.

Ted

I honestly wouldn't run hotter plugs with a forced induction car especially one that was originally naturally aspirated from the factory such as the W210 E55. Compression is already pretty high then you add boost, that's pretty much a recipe for disaster right there if/when it starts detonating. Sure you might gain a few HP but is it worth the risk? James, I know you run race fuel all of the time so detonation might be minimized but it's ultimately your decision on whether you want to take that risk.

Thanks for the tip Ling. Think i'll pass on the hotter plugs if that's the case.

Thanks Ted. Good idea on the light battery. Have you done the Port and Polish heads? What was the outcome? Can't get a straight answer from Kleemann on this one. Don't think they've done this one yet.

I was going to test it with the hood open on the dyno just pointing straight up. Not terribly useful for daily-driving, but it should pretty effectively show what the stock airbox leaves on the table.
Aren't you concerned about drawing ALL the hot air from the sealed engine compartment, instead of through the grille?

20+ to list......
Light weight battery is good, but on mine, I'm looking for a more balanced weight distribution, so every ounce in the back helps, unless the battery is located in the engine bay, that's another story.
