E55 steering improvement
Anyone know how to make E55 steering more responsive and more involving ??? IU want more road feel and to be able to take fast corners and go btw cars...
Heard that there are some people put some steering parts from CLS55 with shorter ratio ???
OR may be its better to get some steering parts from CLS63 or E63...they should handle even better...
What do you think guys...any ideas ??? Someone done that at this board

O5 and up have a quicker steering rack, this is one swap out. The control arms in front also have stiffer bushings. You can get both from EvoSoort. The new CLS has stiffer shocks if you want to swap also. THe only other thing would be to fabricate some stiffer anti-swaybar bushings. Increase neg camber and set toe to zero will help also.

Mike, I have an 04 with the old rack. Evo put in the 05 rack with the arms, a much better feel with quicker turn-in and less understeer.
You can also do 05 and above shocks which are supposedly stiffer (front).

When you get all that done, you are going to be like me and wish there were a stiffer anti roll bar. From what I heard (from AMG employees), the '07s will have the same diameter. If so, I am screwed to wait. Other than that, the car is really handling MUCH better.

Then they added the rest of the front suspension.
A while back I gave my dealer all the part numbers from the CLS55 front end to see if I could upgrade my March'05 E55. He checked against my VIN and confirmed that I already have all the components installed at the factory.
