Vrus, I’ve been reading this post from the start and think this is great what you have done. You’re also looking at other cars to help with their mods I have a W210 E55 so this doesn’t fit, but I love when others help others to find more HP with better designs like your doing, keep it up! And the best part lower cost to the end user

Vic, quick question for you, I know I told you I have a stock TB, but I am going to upgrade it to a Kleemann 80mm unit later, can I please get an adaptor piece so the airbox can work with the Kleemann unit? Thanks.

The Kleemann TB kit might be a problem because it clocks the TB at a 45dg angle.. They dont mount their TB parallel to the ground and therefore it might cause interference to the side of the airbox where the airtube is. The airbox was created as big as possible leaving just enough room for all the engine components around it, but, I dont have a car with a Kleemann TB kit on it to measure clearances. In other words, I cant gaurantee it will fit with that particular TB kit.
With all the other kits it shouldnt be a problem because the TB is mounted parallel to the ground.

Good attitude!! I'll do what I can for you here, but, if I dont have a car in front of me it will be tough.. I can explain the process of what needs to be done and send you the insert and you can have him fab it up for you.
Possibly. Do you know how many guys would be interested in something like this? I dont mind taking on the projects but I cant pass it along to the CF guys unless I know there is a market for them. The moulds are expensive..
I think I am going to stay neutral on this stuff when it comes to you two... Settle it like men on the dragstrip! LOL.

Out of the original 33 R&D members, 5 dropped out because they are either selling car or other reasons. 18 sent in payments, the remaining 10 are still in the process of sending in their funds.
The standby list covers the 5 that dropped out so those lucky guys still get the airbox at the R&D group price.

LOL.. I think with you two I might have to send out the airboxes simultaneously and instruct both Fedex drivers to ring the doorbells on each home at the same time.. Here I revised the list so that there is no bloodshed in this thread
