anyone have any recommends for San Fran tuning shop besides Kronen? was considering using them for initial stage 1 (RENNtech), but seems Adam may be departing. seemed like good guy and very willing to assist w/ ALL questions/detail. seems like potential caution flag (would think the best franchises would try and keep star talent so business would prosper and customers stay happy w/ confidence). just a thought, but wondering if any other tuners (RENNtech (prefer) or Kleemann (obviously great too)) anyone could refer? thanks all...

Kronen is currently doing a Renntech stage 1 for me on an SL600. Where did you hear Adam is leaving? Also what did you hear would be his last day?

Have not met anyone from Kronen. I am located in TX but bought the car in CA. I am having the work done before it is shipped. Adam has been great but can't speak for anyone else. I am glad my work will be finished before Adam leaves.

Call John Siau at Conversion Techniques in Oakland. He is a Kleemann dealer and has done many AMG cars in the Bay area. He also has an extensive background in building various types of race cars. CT does very good work!!

Topline Automobile in Burlingame has probably done the most Kleemann chargers in the Bay Area. I think Kartoyz in San Jose has done a couple as well.

While Adam is leaving Kronen ... I don't think it will affect the quality of the work done. The mechanic that they use is a mercedes certified mechanic and he is awesome. I'm sure Kronen will take care of you.

I also looked at John prior to going to Renntech. Lets just say he had silly pricing. BTW I think John has done more kleemann mods than Topline. Even Kleemann was recommending John over Topline.

LOL.........Your right John is not cheap but he is one of the best and has years of racing experience under his belt. I prefer to pay more and get the best products and installer's available. Just my 0.02

Thank you guys for your comments and support. I have received many kind wishes on my future endeavours and I am sad to leave MBworld. I will be back, hopefully, as a future Renntech employee, or maybe leaving the industry entirely. Good luck on futures mods everybody, and drive safe.

Good luck Adam. If you go to work for RENNtech, make the MB dealerships in the Dallas/Ft. Worth one of your first sales visits. I would love to have a local dealer who is also a RENNtech dealer to avoid the warranty issues.

I'm also willing to pay more for people that are experienced and very knowledgeable. You get what you pay for.

Charging more than MSRP
more than what what was quoted from Kleemann Colorado themselves
more than what he charged another fellow MBworld member and by a considerable amount

thats just wrong in my opinion.
