Spent some time with a 997 TT today (pics inside)
After a few minutes he pulled over and we switched cars. The only thing he said to me was "if you crash you better total it"!! LOL!! We never went out on any highways so couldn't do any high speed runs but instead were on some great back roads that area a blast to drive. I think I spent most of the time in 3rd, maybe into 4th for some bursts. But it was very obvious the car pulls like a freight train. The car also had ceramic brakes which are absolutely insane. Eye popping - literally. Jam on the brakes and it feels like your eye ***** are moving forward out of your head! The brakes are great but I don't think I could check that box for almost 9K. The car was also loaded with CF - beautiful but again a lot of money. The sticker was about 150K. Another option that I wouldn't have given much thought but now think it's a no brainer are the adaptive sport seats - they may be the best seats I've ever sat in.
Having never driven an AWD p-car before I was expecting it to feel much heavier and even a bit less involved compared to the RWD version. Wrong. I know some have written that the TT is somewhat "cold" or not as exciting but maybe I'm just too dumb. The car felt incredibly nimble and I really didn't feel a great sense that this car is so as heavy as it is. It's a 997S that accelerates like my E55 did. Nirvana as far as i'm concerned.
Many refer to this car as the "everyday super car" and I think they are right. May not be a glamourous as an Fcar and may not be quite as fast as the Z06 but I don't think you'd make a grocery run in the Ferrari and certainly wouldn't make a multi-state run in the vette.
This hour may end up costing me a lot of money. So, what should it be? White, red, cobalt blue...?

The 2nd thing (which I forgot to mention) is check out the right rear of the car. A little ding. He had the car 3 days when stopped at a light a guy on a moped delivering food for a Jamaican restaurant ran into him
The bumper thingy is something I think I could learn to live with!
Actually I think the 996 did have those as I just remembered reading a post elsewhere asking if they could be removed/how are they attached. The answer was no, and they're attached the same way as the 996

You think that the car is going to cost you...and then you think, "Hmmmm - maybe I do want to add a few options...".
And then you start adding what looks good, with an, "Oh, I want this..." and an, "Oh, that would be nice to add...".
And when you get done? Talk about sticker shock!
But it's worth it.

A new, done-up Porsche is something else(!).
