It's time to go racing!
I need to baseline this car, and would like to invite my new E55 brethren to a day of test-and tune. The locale of choice is us41 dragway: http://www.us41dragway.com/
This is a family-run track, well-maintained and no lines. At Byron and Great Lakes you are lucky to make 3 passes...here you can run to your heart's content!!!
The track is an hour from Chicago, so I hope to see plenty of folks from the Midwest.
How does August 27th work for everyone? We can race from 8:00am to 4:00pm, and they even have a bracket for a few $$$.
PM or email with any questions. (ChicagoX at Gmail dot com)

The track opens at 8:00am, which is really 7:00am Chicago time.
I like to roll in around 8:00-9:00am tracktime, but you guys can come whenever.
We can rendezvous downtown at the Rock & Roll McDonalds if you would like to meet up.
I'll set up a tent/grill/hospitality station next to the fence. Look for the 6'5" guy under the blue EZ-up

I would love to see as many Benz drivers out there as possible !!!
No inter-platform discrimination here. It's all about the horsepower anyway, right?

What tuner route do you think you are going to go? I want to make some runs to base line my car as well, I think I will be pulling the trigger soon on some performance mods.

I have Kleemann. I think I can talk my Kleemann guy into coming so you can talk with directly. I'll give him a call if anyone is interested and see if he can come. Let me know.

For some reason i thought the day was 27th of July( Stupid)
lol I will definately be able to make it...I am thinkin about installin K2 upgrades before this track day...i was curious how long it usually takes to install parts ? (At fall-line motorsports in Chicago?)
P.S: Good thing about this track is that you dont really have to wait to race.....

It should only take 2-3 days to install w/ the shipping of your ECU.

I just spoke to the track official (nice guy) and he is expecting us.
He even offered to provide us with a "private lane" for staging, which was nice.
This will allow us to stage up next to the person we want (for grudge races, etc.)
Come one, come all.

Hello all,
I was told about this event by Mr. DSC, I think I should be able to make this one - any particular reason you are picking US41? It's quite a jog for any of us coming from the city/western/northern/etc burbs, Byron out by Rockford is a very fast and well prepped trap which is also accomodating to small groups (especially a group of nice Merc's). US41 is about 100 miles from me and Byron is about 50, so with that said - I'd like to step out on a little limb here and vote we move the festivities to Byron. However, I will understand if it's a bit late in the game to do so.
