So I'm thinking for getting a my tail lights smoked. What do you think would look good on a black car?

1. Completely black out the tail lights
2. Black out the clear portion like on SL55s
3. Black out the red portion and leave the clear portion alone
4. No tint at all

Can you show pics of examples of each option?

Where / how do you get this done? I was thinking about it, too, but don't know how to proceed.

Kev,

I was thinking of doing this also.. After I saw Jangy's car with the light tint on it, that's what I would like to get..

I never considered blacking them out before because I didnt want a flat black taillight.. The light tint still allows the character of the red to show through, which I like, but subdues it enough that it blends in more with a black car.

I wish Jangy can post some pics in better resolution and lighting coz I want to see the results.

If I decided to go on with this project, the color of the tint would have to be matched to the exterior color of my car, not just regular tint. At this point, I'm inclining to get the red part tinted and leave the clear part alone.

Sorry guys, i have been swamped at work and my damn rims would not get finished. Maybe 2K6E55 and I can get together this weekend for a pic session so you can see what a "light" and 'dark" one look like.

Yes, I am up for that. Hit me up when you want to do this shoot! However, I think I am going to the holding tank soon since my rear lights are too dark.
