Need Help... Car On Jack Lowering With Washers
I added the washers on the passenger side and removed the jack and turned the car on and get a warning that says stop, cars to low. The front is sitting high. What did I do wrong?

2018 E63S wagon, 2016 GLE350d, GLE450 on order
it could be the message comes up because both sides are not even. i often get that message poping up when i enter my driveway on an angle and park it there to open a gate. try the other side first.

Have you tried raising your car (via the button by the shifter)?, and then lowering? This is what I do to "reset" the car.

hehe, glad I could help. I was about to flame you for not listening sooner, but i saw you did. it dumps pretty low if you screw the flip side up. No worries, though it won't hurt anything AS LONG AS the wheels are straight at the time. If not, it could lower the fender onto the wheel top.
Dude, do your research and make sure this is how you want to do it. My vote is a huge NO and you can see that I have played with the washer method. You can modify the metal piece to NOT have all those bends in it and that will make the piece longer, lowering your car. Then, when you bolt it back on, you just hold it straight with a pair of needlenose pliars to keep it aligned as you TQ down the nut. Alternatively, you can literally drill a hole through the current bolt and replace it with a longer one that can be nice and snug.
My personal feeling is that the current bolt only has enough extra threads for a minimal drop, which is why I suggest another method instead of too many washers.
If it lets loose on the run, you are TOAST!!

Thanks again... Everything turned out fine. I only used 3 washers, and also put Loctite on the nuts.
I might pick-up two new sensors and drill the screw out and just use a longer one.

A nice bump in the road and the threads could give. be safe and consider the straightening mod. It takes ten minutes and takes the pain away AND is much lower than just 3 washers.
Good luck bro.

You guys have scared me about the way I lowered my car
so I talked to a friend of mine that's a Mercedes tech and once I get my 20" wheels he will lower it with the scan tool.
