E63 vs. S65

E63 vs. S65

ok guys hope you enjoy

sorry for the poor quality if any, we started from Zero and when i braked in my S65, i was doing 185KM around 114 Miles.

More feedback i used to own an E55 and i will tell you that E63 will smoke a stock E55 any day any time plus it will smoke a stock M5 (working on the vid will be available soon in a store near you LOL)

Its not fair to bring modded cars into the equation. Stock to stock i think the E63 is quicker. Modded well yes the E55 will clean house.

But as a whole the E63 is the better car. NO SBC, better suspension, new bushings up front etc.

Again, that's what you "think", but its not what most people are saying - just check the postings over the last week or so. BUT, he said the E63 will "smoke" the E55 "any day, any time" - that's simply laughable. Getting smoked, to me, means getting left in the dust off the start - that clearly wouldn't happen. I'm not E55 biased just because I have one - I am just forming an opinion based on the general consensus of people who have driven both cars, and my opinion so far is that the E63 is not "quicker" (0-60 "quicker" I think we are talking here, right?) though it might be "faster" (100+) in the long roll. In order to "smoke" an E55, the E63 would have to be A LOT quicker off the start then the 55, and that just does not appear to be so (at least from what we are reading in most of these early reports). I do not contend that the 63 will eventually prove to be a great car, but as a "next model E", AMG seems to have fallen short of the big jump in performance we were all expecting and hoping for. Most of us are now hoping for a TT version to hit the floor before we trade in our 55s - I think I can wait until the '09 model year to see if this happens.

I agree.........smoke is a strong statement and somehow I don't think a E63 will smoke a E55 or a M5............edge out or beat perhaps but definitely not smoke.

Agreed. I'm sure that the E63 is slightly quicker than the E55 ala the C55/C32 debate, but to say that it will smoke an M5 and E55 is total bs. I think that any of these cars can beat the other on any given day, imho.

You have the S65 confused for the E63. The S65 was the one way out in front.

The video is not surprising to me.

That 65 is a monster. My neighbor was kind enough to let me take his new s65 around the block this weekend. All I can say is "I WANT ONE"! The car pulls like a freight train. It does not have the off the line grunt my 55 does but it just keeps pulling and pulling... But what is even more impressive?... the brakes! I gave them a good stab and thought the car deployed an anchor. Very impressive for such a large car. Here is a pic of the front caliper:

hmmmm guys i think i did use a strong phase here "smoke" well in other words what i ment is that it would beat an E55 or an M5 STOCK anytime anyday, judge by the performance of all those three cars and i have tested them all this is my assumption well its always more fun to video it LOL i will do that (ASAP) and that would give us the best direction on who passes who and by what and etc.. thanks anyways for sharing hoped you enjoyed the vid take care for now

I think we should all reserve our comments as to which is the faster car untill testing is done and better yet untill more people recieve their cars. Taking a car out for a spin from a dealership means ****. Wait till the motor breaks in a little then we'll see. My guess is that the cars will be pretty even till about 80-100 and then the E63 will walk away.
