BHP***SL kompressor VS E Kompressor...

Is there a way we can verify if the first bunch of sl55 Kompressors are more powerfull than E55 komp?

i think all the 2003-2006 SL and E Kompressors have the same part number except the first SL55 that came out on 2003.

if it is, then VRUS, you are getting closer to his goal of 700BHP..

PEACE
Khaled

Victor scored the new one with the updated soft clutch, one unit I believe.

Hi Khaled,

It was confirmed.. the 2002 production (early 2003 model) SL55 had the 80mm TB, no bypass valve, and different programming resulting in a 510bhp engine instead of the 496hp. The compressor itself was the same.. Only the inlet of the compressor was different.

One of the members on here has one (early 2003 SL55) and after he did the Kleeman K2 he ended up with 654hp CRANK.

The 2007 SL55 has a different compressor that spins a little bit faster. I am trying to get one to put into my car!!!

I've known all along I can get to 700hp.. Now I am SURE of it!! 700hp is right around the corner!

Khaled: Don't wait too long if you want one those 80mm TB.. There are only a limited amount of them right now.. I am sure stock will be replenished once it is used up, but I dont know how long it will take.

If you already have the TB, then you are good to go.. The only piece you are missing is the 80mm Y-pipe. Kleemann doesnt supply a Y-pipe with their TB.. They give you a silicon adapter and 2 clamps to put your stock 74mm Y-pipe onto the new TB.

If you want one, I can hook you up with a Y-pipe.

I've been trying my hardest to get the V12TT TB in my hands (the one that Kleemann uses) to compare it against mine to see what the differences are.

My friend with the kleemann K4 told me that he thought he lost throttle response with the TB upgrade, but on my car, I feel the throttle response got better...

If I get one in my hands I'll be able to do some measurements and see what the differences are. Would love to take pics side by side, but the dealers dont have stock on them so I cant get one without ordering.

Hey Khaled,

Thanks!! Much appreciated!

Email me at: vrus1@hotmail.com

Send me your mailing address and I'll get you a quote for the Y-pipe and the shipping.. You can paypal the funds to me and I'll send ship one out to you. This way your TB will look complete.
