Dynamic seat question
Any ideas on this? Could the recent ECU reflash have somehow erased it or am I just doing something stupid.
Curiously the submenu for "easy entry" is also missing.
Just on the 55.....not on the wife

Gremlins at work? I'd probably get the typical "we can't replicate the problem sir" thing from the dealer, so I won't bother unless it continues to happen.

You sir, are in luck. I had the EXACT same problem when I took delivery of my 2004 E500. Problem solved by the dealer. I just dug up my old paperwork on this and here's what is says:
Cause:
801550 - Pnuematic supply pump - multi contour/dynamic seats R & R/REPL
146 WR
1 211-800-01-48 pump for vac
31185 - Pnuematic for dynamic seat broken perform sds test found codes
9254 - Pressure release EF valve for draining open without active over pressure run
Now, I'm not versed in MB mechanic-ese but it looks like there was a bad pump or something.
Hope this helps. Oh, and since this was done, it hasn't happened once.
Good luck.

I don't think we have the same problem. My response was a reply for post #2 made by 2K6E55. He has a problem in which the dynamic seats turns off by itself and you need to restart the car to get it to work again.
Sorry I don't have the solution for your problem, but it sounds like it should be be able to be re-enabled via the dealer's Star Diagnostic machine.
Good luck.
