South Beach and Fake AMG's

Quick question I have to ask though, I know some models can be equipped with AMG Package from factory, do those cars come with AMG trunk badges on them? 'cause I see CLK430 AMG, CLK500 AMG, E500 AMG, etc..

I was a valet for a few years in college and dealt with my fair share of "V12" poseurs. I drove so many Mercedes S-Class sedans that I could tell you if it was a 320, 420, 500, or 600 blindfolded with 100% accuracy. These fakers are funny! which reminds me a chinese kid around my gfs way has a silver E500 4matic, fake part is hes stupid enough not to take 4matic off but just put amg on top of it so its a e500 4matic amg with the fakest of fake exaust tips

Ah yes, there are tons of fake AMG badges here on Long Island. CLK430's and CL500 seem to be the main culprit. Can't believe how many I see around here. Lots of posers out there!

HAHAHA LOL, I SAW THAT GUY THE OTHER DAY (Black on black cls500, I THOUGHT IT WAS RATHER RETARDED. I pulled up in my CLS 55 and just nodded my head side to side. then took off on his 75 AMG BITURBO LOL!

No. You can get the AMG body kit (sport package) on a lot of models, but it's never going to be a real AMG, and the factory NEVER puts ///AMG on anything that isn't.

Out here in Vegas you see a large amount of miss-badged Mercedes. I once saw a SL500 re-badged as an SL65 on the rear with the AMG badge to the right, however on the side of the car it said V8 Kompressor. This was probably the worst example I have ever seen of re-badging a MB. I also see so many S350/430/500s with the AMG rear badge on them. What is wrong with people today?

I agree! South Beach is loaded with wannabe's. It's sort of like the people in the S.Ca that debadge their non amg or m cars. However, people who live on the palm islands have a lot of scratch. One of my clients took me to a Johnny Walker party on Star Island and I was blown away by the mansion, cars (except for the Juan Pablo and his F1 Mclaren) and super models. That party trumped all of the parties I have been to in either Hollywood or OC. They do know how to have a goodtime down there. I must also say, the women in South Beach are far superior in "genuine" beauty than any "hot" chick in S.Ca. Most in SB are models and do not have the bolt-on's/cosmetic surgery like most of the girls in the OC. Plus, the girls know how to dress (minimalistic if ya know what I mean).
The old saying still applies an OC "10" is a SB "7". It's one of my favorite places to go for business. I would highly recommend staying at the National or Lowes. Have fun!

I see fake AMGs everywhere. Someone where i live has a W210 E320 With E55 AMG Badging. The car has AMG wheels. Nothing else. I hate when people stick AMG on, but rebadging a car to something its not is insane. Other day i saw a C240 with C32 AMG Badging. It will never end.

I think badges should only be available from the dealer, and you should have to show your registration to get them due to copyright infringement.....but then again, we wouldn't be able to laugh at them anymore..

No AMG anything I can see. Got another guy who swears his CL500 is an AMG model. Same thing. I cant see any AMG goodies on it at all. He tells me he got it from Fletcher Jones that way and it has the AMG Sport Package.

'06 E55 Black/Charcoal
Last night while driving in Ft. Myers, FL, I came across my first E63 Kompressor. He actually had a V6kompressor on the the quarter pannel, and a E63 and an AMG bage on his trunk lid. It was a E320 Sport, it's too bad he douched it out, cause it was lowered with 19" AMG knock-off's and it looked pretty good. I kept tryig to get him to roll down his widow, but he kept avoiding me. Oh, well.

A few days ago coming home from the office on 56 East, I saw a poser BLACK so called E55 AMG, I caught up w/it and only to find out the quad tips are cosmetic added on, stock E55 Rims w/NO AMG brakes, the guy tried to pull away but I caught up w/him again and gave him a thumb down and he just took off...
