Actually, it is nice. I like the traditional look. It was either HRE or BBs for me.

The Renntech was an option, but they did not offer the fitting and custom sizing needed. "i got a regular 9.5 max in rear and 9 in front with 245s and 275s. You won't get anything else to work". It is simply not true.

About 4 weeks, depending on how long fittment takes. I may also wait an extra week or two for the new finish if it is about to be released. If not, I'll take the charcoal finish and get them redone later.

At last, I can sleep, Jangster is getting a set. Its almost as exciting as the wife getting a set of store boughts.

HRE's are not played out IMO- wheels that are played out stop selling.

Damn Jangy!! 275 & 295..... You will now need K4 power just to get K1 performance if you have to push those meats around.

I do like those wheels though.

I got a feeling that they will have a nice setup for our rides, if HRE is receptive to my requests. I am local to them and understand that it may take time, so we'll see how much effort they choose to put in. Anything is better that running 245s on the front with 19s.

Haha losing a little power to gain grip is a no brainer for me. Actually going Renntech, if they keep up the customer service.

hey jangy, do you have any actual weight measurements for stock and c22 18inch rims? will the fatter tyres add much weight?

18x10.5, that will look fatter than a 20x10.5 correct? as the rim height/width ratio is lower?

have you done any photochops with the c22's?!

Rim weight:
OEM 18X9 = 29lbs
OEM 18X9.5 = 32lbs (since they add the metal)

Yes, wider tires add weight, but also add grip. Perfection is all about balance.

HRE weights: (obviously I'll weigh when I get them for actual)
I am hearing 20lbs for 19s, which implies that 18s are lighter.

Yes, an 18 will look wider than a 19 simply due to ratio BUT that can also be controlled by tire aspect ratio. My overall diameters are identical to stock, so I am only going wider, not taller.

I do have a photochop, but can't post pics for now. PM me your email and I'll send you the "look" I love it.

downside of the reverse lip is that it collects water. After washing my 547r there would always be a puddle inside the wheel. Supposedly if you drive in the rain, it could throw the wheel off balance at higher speeds.

I think it looks much better, and for the few times it rains in socal, I'll take my wife's QX56

The stepped lip wheels will make the wheels appear smaller because you lose a little bit of face area but looks really good on certain wheels. It gives you that distinct look when rolling. I can't explain it you'd have to see it in person.

I guess I'll get a good look at the when I go in for my test fit. Other than looks, does how the tire get mounted matter? Does the reverse mean the tire will be mounted from the back face?

Yup,the lip on the wheel can make them better or worse looking. Most of the wheels I like need the step to show best.No rivets or bolts, step lip and in the 20' size.

Not only water but small rocks and debris also.Sometims the inside area of the wheel will hold the same amount or more.
