Ok, time to trade out my '01 E55 for an '04 or '05.

Any equipment that is an absolute "must"?
What is hwy fuel economy with cruise at 70 (hard to go so slow, I know)?
What is the largest size tire that will fit on factory rims?
Anything to avoid?
For those of you trading to E63's, what are you getting for your E55? ($)

Suggestions are most welcome.

I've got an '04 and the only option I got was Keyless Go. I wish I'd gotten the bi-xenon lights, Navigation, and the muti-disc changer.
I get between 21 and 22MPG cruising the Interstates.

-Nav is a MUST! Absolutely Love it. We find a good restraunt on Zagat or Citysearch and let the Nav take us there.
-Wife Loves the Panoramic roof. I think it even keeps the car cooler on hot days (reflective glass)
-Zeon lights, light up the night sky nicely
If we had to do over we would have got the rear passenger sun shades as well

Keyless go is one of my favorites.

On the trade in value...I tried to dump my 00 E55, 67k miles and Nav a few months ago, and three dealerships offered me 21K.

Can Drive 55

Keyless go, Sirius, xenon, nav, dynamic seats, hands free phone, and ventilated and heated seats. At 70mph, 20 - 22mpg.

I have the '01 pre-sold. It has 52,000 miles. It also has 27 months, 100,000 remaining on the Starmark warranty.

I got 30K for it.

1. Get a warranty (seriously, I've had WAY too many problems with my '06)
2. Probably get the regular (not pano) sunroof if I had it to do over again. Mine doesn't creak and has been problem free, but you have to open both front and rear shades completely before you tilt it open. I liked being able to manually close the shade with it still tilted open in my '02 E55.
3. Keyless go is pretty cool.
4. Lighting package for sure.
5. Drive dynamic seats.
6. A 275 is about the biggest 18" tire. Go to a 18 or 19 X 10 if you want more rubber in the rear.
Anything else can be added without too much trouble although parktronic and distronic can be pretty expensive. You will miss not being able to seek radio station presets from the steering wheel (stupid change on MB's part).

KEYLESS GO, NAVIGATION, TPMS and XENON lights are KEY! Everything else is secondary.
