We need to be sure to define sword and hammer. In this case, we are talking paring knife vs sledgehammer. Sure, you can get me with your knife, if you "know how to control it and use it correctly"; but, you had better not miss. My swing will be swift and all encompassing with very little aim. In the end, I may have a scrape on my arm but you may be dead!!

No longer a mystery. Glad you like the game, but the time will come when you fess up and tell just how much you spent to make an E55 look like an E63 AND WHY?? You left out ALL of the things that I like on the E63 over the E55.

I had a little damage on the trunk, so I must replace the trunk, 1 rear lamp and the rear bumper.
The painting was already very ugly after the few years of using. So I was already thinking of a complete new paintjob and after the damage on the trunk I decided to give the car a facelift to the looks of the new E 63!
But more parts must be replaced that I expecteded in the first place!
A new; enginehood, grille, Xenon headlamps, fog lamps, front bumper (incl. 3 gratings), rear bumper, mirrors, trunk (exist in two parts), rear lamps, brake light, trunk spoiler, chrome parts (front and rear), new E55/V8 kompressor lettering etc., new PDC sensors and module and a lot of small support parts! Further also a new front window!
Why?
I still love my E55 with the huge Torque to much and I have invest already a lot for the Brabus interior. So I would like to drive the car a few years more and I like the looks of the E 63 but I don't want to invest for a slower car....
The investment?
Including the paintjob € 9.750,- ($ 12.187.50) and my insurance company paid a small part for the damage!
I hope that you understands my English!

We understand and figured as much. Dude, you are a maniac. Glad you enjoy it and that is all that matters. Any thoughts of getting the E63 headliner as well?

Here are some pictures who gives an impression of the job;
Those pictures were taken just before the new painting, so all the preliminary work was already done. The total job took 5 weeks (also because of the delay in delivery of the parts from AMG).
When I saw the car in this shape, I thought, this will never become a car again...
But they have done a marvelous job, you have seen already the result!

2006 E55
Actually it is nicely done and I understand the why part. I like the looks of the E63 as well but to trade my new '06 E55 in for a '07 would be a blood bath that would far out weigh the $12k you spent for the updates. Bad news is that you don't get the improved suspension and brakes on the E63 however it does look sharp. personally I am going to stick with the E63 rear spoiler lip and call it good. Sharp car you have.

The complete interior is from Brabus, Alcantara with Brabus Mastik leather from the EV12! The nicest interior ever made!

Thanks for sharing the pics! Your car looks very sharp!
I still like the idea of an E55 soul with E63 clothing...which I think AMG should offer! Hopefully this dilemma won't last long...who would've thought we'd be screaming at AMG to give us back our old engines! I'm sure in the years to come the 6.3 engines will become much stronger! Now that would be NIIIIIIIIIICE!

'03 G500, '13 G63, '17 GLS63,
Good to see the true story. I was getting sad we didn't get a special model in the USA. I must say, the car looks very good and I must commend how you took a bad situation and created a very unique car.

I'm serious confused now...so this is an E55k with all the E63 goodies put on by yourself after? I understand the interior was custom which is very nice...but as far as everything exterior-wise...
