Butt end gets a new look

Made a slight modification to my baby this week. I am pretty happy with the outcome. Take a look... BTW if you click on the photos they will enlarge.

Good Eye Ryda!!! Actually the license plate mount is for a E63 but there is no difference between the US and Euro mounts now. They all have the larger opening and this is the same on all the 2007 E's. I ordered the piece and had it painted at the local dealer. I like the larger chrome strip plus mine had a small scratch on it so it made sense. I still have the old one in case I ever want to change it back. It takes about ten minutes to swich them out.

Looks very good, indeed. Any subtle differences between the E63 fin and the Carlssen?

take a look at DragonAMG's posts ... he has a pic thread with his E55/Carlsson spoiler.

IMHO the Carlsson one looks better.

the e63/schatz spoiler contours perfectly around the 3rd brake light where the carlesson looks like they were too lazy to measure the 3rd brake light and made the cutout twice as big as it should have been...imho.

I don't think that is the reason... the Carlsson spoiler is just more agreessive and doesn't look "stock". That's is why I choose it. I like the E63 spoiler, it's just not for me.

The Carlsson spoiler is longer and more upgright.

Well I had to buy it non-color coded because they don't make E's in Alabaster any more so just primered it was $175 and then $200 to paint and install it. The spoiler was $350 pre-painted and shipped.

That's a great price... you'll spend upwards of $750 for the Carlsson spoiler painted and shipped.

I agree it was a great price. Not only that but the fit is perfect and the Omar was very easy to deal with and it all went quite well.

If you are referring to the spoiler lip, yes they will paint it the color of your car. It is held on with double sided tape and is fairly easy to install.

The license plate surround it attached with a couple of bolts and several push clips. The trunk lid liner must be removed first to complete this job but is not difficult. I am sure this piece could be ordered in the appropriate color from the dealer IF they still offer the color of your car on the '07 models.
