Well Boys,
Ranger (our local MD hero) who has the fastest C5 Z06 1/4 time on record just broke into the 10's this weekend.
His pass on 315 DR's was 10.85 @ 129.50mph
Just freakin unreal!

The - 850 DA helps alot...basically got him 0.3-0.4 tenths since he ran his 11.3s in 60 degree weather. Take the DRs off and add a hot summer day and its an 11.5-11.7 car. There will likely not be anyone else that can run these times like Ranger. He is a data set of n=1. While others were getting 12.3-12.7 in the C5Z06 he was getting 11.8 stock.
One thing that I do now before going to the track is check the DA. If it's lousy I won't even bother to go. Everyone always asks what your SAE corrected rwhp is...on days like -850ft and cold weather you can easily add 40rwhp. I've done it before.
Not taking anything away from this run becuase its brutal but don't think every stock C6Z06 is going to pull 1 sec faster than a K2-K4 AMG. I can't wait to hear him break into the 9s. I figure maybe just an 80shot and he is there.

With dr's, Ranger may need a bit more than an 80 shot to break into the 9's.
I figure 140MPH trap speed will do it. With slicks, 137-138MPH may be enough.
