Mysterious Maryland guy again.
We'll never know his name, only his record setting times.
He'll always be.......just a mystery.

Ok, I've been doin some searchin. Apparently his name is definitely Malcolm and he owns a shop in Randalstown MD called Hi-tech performance. I will try to contact him when I get a chance.

Biggest questions I have are?
1) Wet or Dry NOS system, how large a shot and who made it
2) Is he really doing the "drop in drive" on the line. Heards that he does this and always wondered if it was true.
If you could get launch technique and what slicks he is running, that would be friggin awesome.
Good luck man.

I'll try to get answers for you but cant guarantee it. If my memory serves me right he was running mt's on what looked like 15 or 16" rims. Dont quote me on that. I tried looking for a website but apparently the shop doesnt have one. Guess I gotta try 411.Originally Posted by Jakpro1

Ok, I found the shop but he wasnt there. I left a message with his secretary to give me a call tomorrow. We will soon have answers! The car is no myth, I saw him run with my own eyes. Some people told me they have seen him run 10.5

Yes that was malcom, I was there in my supra with some others. We talked for some time about his car,he and I go way back. He has a shop and he told me what the car has in it, cams,tb, headers, intake his own built intercooler,mt on back with ccw wheels, pulleys, ecu and I think that covers everything also lsd. Thats why the car went 129+ and 11.0 but it shoulda 10! So just to let everyone know its for rel so is his bad 911tt and his tripple supra only one of two built. Give his shop a call he is a nice guy hi tech auto.

Sounds realistic when you think about it. The E55's achilles heel in the top end is that it doesn't make full power at high revs, because of the immense amount of heat the motor produces. From the factory its programmed to run rich towards redline in order to artificially cool the engine. I've been saying this forever, but if anyone manages to keep the car cool enough to lean out the fuel higher in the rev range its possible to make the car meteorically fast, and apparently that's what this guy's done.Originally Posted by Rock

Nice runs yesterday! I was routing for you and Miller, sucks that he lost because of the tree. He said he had it in 2 step and then took it out because the other car hadnt staged and that cost him. Krystos had trouble too. Bad day for the supra's. John Sheppard's DSM is CRAZY fast! 7.70 @ 191

I have a k4 on my 03/e55 and i need to have the intercooler mod to help out with my top end.....the car seems a little soggy on top.....due to the excessive heat.Last night with PTE 160 degree thermostat, and 50 degree temperature, the car was a real beast.
However if you get that phone number for that shop in MD,please email me or post the number.

PM me your # or something!UPDATE: I just spoke with Malcolm over the phone, seems like a really cool guy. When he ran a 11.01 it was all motor (except the s/c obviously)!
The 10.5 he ran was with a 75 shot. He has alot of custom stuff done to his car. Bigger fuel pump, custom ECU tune, custom intercooler, custom cams, and some other stuff thats not coming to mind right now. I made an appointment with him for tomorrow at 3pm to sit down and discuss what he can do and what he has done. He said he can get my CLK55 into the 10's
I'll keep you all updated on the progress.
CoolcarlskiC43- I might be coming up to NYC in 2 weeks, I'll let you know.

You should get him to post here and show us what he can offer. With results like that, I'm surprised more of us havent heard of him.Originally Posted by blackbenzz

Did you ask him to post on this board? I would love to see the details of his custom work.
I will be sitting down and talking to him tomorrow at 3. I will ask him to get on the board and post. If he declines I will just relay the information. Now, how do I get out of this meeting I have tomorrow? lol

I tried calling Malcolm 2x yesterday but each time he was working in the shop...dying to hear all his tricks/mods. 11.0 @ 129 is increadible. 137mph is increadible for NOS on this sled.
Ok heres the news. First of all the shop is over an hour away from my house
He has a pretty big shop and owns a drag car (the fiberglass body type), a triple turbo supra (single digits), and the E55. All of which were at the shop along with some Evo they were playing with. Anyways, Malcolm is a very nice guy, he showed me around the shop and even spoke with Cory about my car prior to my arrival. The 10.58 @ 137 was on a 75 shot on BFG's. The 11.01s pass was all motor and he didnt go all out. I saw the custom intercooler (front mount and barely fits in the opening of the bumper) with all the piping and it looks very good. I believe he said it gained a dyno proven 50whp. The nitrous setup is stealth and I could not see anything until he showed me the bottle (hidden also). There are some things that he has done that he didnt tell me about (secret) but I did convince him to sign up on this board and check in on this thread so that he can address your questions. If you want to call his shop the phone number is 410-922-4797 (Hi-Tech Auto). Tell him Ahmad referred you and he'll know what you're calling about. I will be talking to him again tonight at 7:30PM and he should be signing up for the forum tonight. I'll keep you all updated.

Ahmad,
I live in MD and I remember you at one of the Capitol Raceway drag days. I was thinking maybe we could form a group of us in this area and pehaps Malcolm could build us a costum intercooler for our cars for a descent deal. What do you think? Also did he talk to you about pricing at all?
Thanks,
Sam
