SBC Braking vibration

Does anyone get vibration when pumping the gas pedal? If you are, do you know if there is a fix for it? I get this annoying vibration when i pump the brakes. Dealership tells me its normal.

its a normal characteristic of the system however there are updated flex-lines and some mumbo jumbo for the pump unit that improves the vibs some...i'd just learn to live with it personally

There is a DTB to address the "normal" portion of it. Warped rotors could also be a part.

The vibration you're feeling is your SBC pump self-testing itself. It'll do this at start-up or if you pump the brakes about 2 or 3 times and periodically while driving. It's normal. There is, however, an updated return line to your brake reservoir that has a "muffler" installed in-line to help reduce the noise/vibration felt inside the cabin.

warped rotors is only felt while driving and holding pedal firmly which is clearly not what he is refering too...i know about the dtb too...the flex lines I mentioned are part of the solution...

Me? You clearly don't do your research. I love the SBC. And no, I did not test drive the '04E500, '05E55, or '06E55 and yet I am somehow totally satisfied with it. I was just saying there is a DTB out for it. I wasn't complaining.

Mine ended up with warped rotors, which make the wheel shake, but that is simply because i am heavy on them. No complaints here, but thanks for the advise anyway.

What is this? Try to one up on Jangy week?

I do the research...i do the actual work too...and hear the clients complain after the dtb is performed that "its still doing it"....mostly because they never had a vehicle that the brakes acted in this manner before and sbc system was never explaned to them properly...the vibe is not a problem...thats what it does. Sbc is the safest and most advanced braking system out there but the pedal vibration (not refering to a rotor pulsation) in normal and the dtb does not completely take care of this issue, thats the facts and I was just trying to tell the poor dude the *** truth. Get used to the brakes and their quirky characteristics...they are not all that bad once you get used to them...that is all im saying
