Renntech - Fastest w/ ECU & Pulley Upgrade

Does Renntech now have the fastest 1/4 mile times for a ECU and pulley upgrade. Brooks ran a 11.66 at 120mph and SGC has run a 11.8 at 120mph. Just wanted to verify this......

not sure of the question you ask but i do have a question for you. did you go straight renn 4 or did you piece it on one at a time? if so other than the pully ECU how did you like each part?

Did ECU, pulley, Headers at first, and then the Carbon Fiber Airbox. Didn't notice a difference with the airbox. Plan to get RT Throttle body next. Hopefully I will feel a difference...

ASP pulleys are larger than RT and Kleemann. Makes sense because I believe they get more boost. I think the ideal set-up would be as follows:

ASP Pulley
RT or Kleemann ECU upgrade
Kleemann headers
VRUS Throttle body
RT carbon fiber airbox
Quaife LSD

that would be a great kit...except i'll take my header/exhaust and place the slr cams as a tie with the tb.

I believe a smaller pulley would give you more boost. Smaller pulley = supercharger spins faster = more boost

I saw your long tubes they look top notch. So I would have to agree 100%.

The one thing that does make fiske's run exceptional is the fact that he did it on street rubber. I had drag radials for my run but only managed a 1.73 60 ft.

Smaller supercharger pulley--yes.. RT, ASP, and kleemann sell crankshaft pulley's. Larger crankshaft pulley spins the supercharger faster. I believe the supercharger pulley is too complicated to replace, thus aftermarket tuners dont
replace it. They replace the crankshaft pulley.

Moroso Motorsports here where we run is not exactly known for there track prep! He would have been able to get a better 60' at another track for sure.

Oops. Never knew they replace the crankshaft pulley, it would seem easier to mill down the s/c pulley but they know better than me. Its obviously more complicated than what I thought. Thanks for the clarification.

305-E55 Well thats pretty amazing!

I can't say that the airbox didn't add HP because I didn't do a before and after dyno... For the price, it probably isnt the best upgrade...But it looks nice...
Have you taken a look at the Evosport headers. If I could do it over again I would have probably chosen the Evosport headers which also keep the cats in place...

I have to believe someone will need "juice" to get into the 10's in our beasts.
I'm actually hoping for cool 50'ish weather. With a good launch and IF 50 degrees, I can tell you I will be disappointed with anything less than mid 11's @124'ish!!

I truly respect all the times we're all putting down, but my car is probably a carbon copy to "Rock's" right now (as far as mods)-and when you study his timeslip from 2 weeks ago....it is almost scary what he would have done with decent 60' time! Please remember he was a 2.3sec 60' (slow as molasses due to spin)
and still turned a 12.02 @124+ .........think about that .....with a 1.7 or 1.8 60', Rock would have easily been low 11's @ 125+ ...................10's...don't think I can do it, but will be mid 11's for sure, all day long I hope!!

"ONEBADCAD" has the "potential" (10's) to get there in a perfect world. Hopefully, he won't leave his diff at the starting line

My car has truly turned into a different animal since the VRUS-80mm TB (I'm sure Rock and Vic will chime in here w/their's) and enjoy it everytime I get behind the wheel!!

i don't think street tires are the big hurdle. i ran consistent 1.7 60ft times on 36psi 19" street rubber. only managed an 11.90 though. i'm sure our high az temps, my full tank of gas, and the fact that my afr is still rich didn't help but i'd be willing to bet i'll see an 11.7 on street tires this winter.
