Moroso Track Rental Results!
Well everyone - It was quite an experience for me - Been 9 years since I've run the 1/4. What a blast and before I say anything else....BIG Thanks and Kudos to "Fikse" for setting this up!!...I now have a baseline to build upon.
The track prep was average?... the outside temps were not the greatest for low times, temps were in the low 70's. There also was a "stiff" 15-20mph(approx) Headwind
, which cost us a few tenth's and mph's for sure!
However some good runs and strong, respectable #'s anyway.
My best runs were as follows: (w/my best of evening in bold)
60' - 1/8mi' - 1/8mi spd - 1/4mi - trap speed
1.84 -7.59sec - 95.20 - 11.67sec -121.85mph
1.97 - 7.63sec - 95.32 - 11.71sec - 122.39mph
1.90 - 7.65sec - 94.94 - 11.74sec - 121.52mph
1.89 - 7.67sec - 95.19 - 11.75sec - 121.68mph
1.96 - 7.73sec - 95.25 - 11.80sec - 122.21mph
2.01 - 7.64sec - 95.39 -11.91sec - 122.90mph - (I believe the #1 trap f/the evening)
Overall - it was a GREAT time for me and a respectable showing for my car. Fikse, PTE(Pat) or Albert can confirm, but I believe I was putting up the most consistent high trap speeds for the evening.
The VRUS 80mm keeps "pull'n!" w/out running out of breath! Thanks Victor!
As of 8:45pm, Albert- I think had the best time(11.59?) w/my 122.9mph being the highest trap speed.
Kudos' again to
Chris @C2D(Tampa)-You've done wonderful work on my beast and it now proves it at the track!
Oh BTW - My times, and traps were on stock rubber! All runs!
I was one of just a few cars there without DR's. Who knows what I left on the table,
but still was putting up strong-respectable #'s
Casualties: My good buddy (anonymous) dropped his rear-end
early in the evening.
TOO much Trq!! - 560RWTq and the R/end said "NO!"
- Hope you can get it fixed - man!
Thank You again Fikse!
- and it was quite cool to meet everyone and put a name with a face!

thanks for coming out everyone, had a great time.... my PS2's are shot, treadwear indicators showing so launching was tough.... I got one lucky launch and my best run of the night was a 11.82 @ 119.4 with a 1.81 60'...
I have a bunch of video, but since it's in HD it will take a while get export....
Here are some burnout pics I took towards the end of the night, I'll send the full pics to the owers via email

Thanks again Fiske.
Had a great time. Good to see eveyone come out.
It would have been nice to have cooler weather and no head wind. Can't have everything.
My best time of the night was 11.70 @ 120.04.
I also ran a 11.73 @ 120.06.
Drag Radials and RENNTech pulley and ECU.

Hey Ken,
Those are some awesome runs!! Great times and the consistency is the best part. Means your car is very healthy and no issues with cooling.![thumbs](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/thumbsup.gif)
Keep on enjoying!! I'm waiting for that next part to arrive any day now.. We should be able to get one on your car in the early parts of January..![Big Grin](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)

[QUOTE=Fikse;1873588]yea, track wasn't as sticky as usual for track rentals.... they are tearing it all up next year, everything will be new...
Pretty much everybody was having traction issues.Ken's-E55 really runs strong and consistent, good times.I wasn't able to hit that 11 that I was hoping for but got close with a 12.02 @ 117.23 with a bad 60' of 1.91 on the Contis.
I had a pretty good time and met some cool people.

I'm sure Pat's 160 thermo also helps by keeping the boosted temp's at a good and reasonable level which helps with keeping the power coming!
I'll keep in touch on the CF intake as I'm sure it will also add a few more ponies to the already strong beast!
Thanks again...the TB was worth every dollar!!

Yeah, Kens car definitely had the best trap speeds of all the cars. It is definitely a strong running beast. Fikse's and Sgc's car run very good with just a pulley and software. Goes to show that the Renntech software works really good. My best et was 11.50 at 120.90 on motor. Need to fix some issues with the car and go back in a week.

I was actually hoping you would get into the 10's, but understand you had a few "issues"

? - R you running a larger TB?? I can say without hesitation, it is what allowed me to be trapping all night @122'ish! If you don't have one - I highly recommend.

Pas, I had some issues with air in the ic system. I seperated the ic coolant from the radiator. So the car was down on power on motor. The main reason for not bieng able to spray was that the car would only spin one tire ( passenger rear). I ordered a Quafie today. Missed you out there bro.
The Vr tb is one of the best mods on the car. It made a big difference in power on the dyno a few days ago but i decided to get greedy and install a separate heat exchanger the night before the rental. :
Thanks for the kind words on how strong my car runs, but I also have to add

DAMN! I dare Gustav and those E60 and 63 guys at m5board.com to say that E55k cars don't run!
These are impressive times to say the least.

I must say that given colder weather, I was wanting to try and reach your personal best 124+ trap speed from a few weeks ago. I believe for us "mere mortals" (Malcolm and Derek excluded) that is the trap speed to beat
