65 brakes?

Are the brakes that come on the 65s the same as the 55s??? i know the rotors are floating? will these rotors fit with 55 Calipers? Would these rotors be a good upgrade? Thanks for your help guys!

same size different calipers and such though. The new ML has the new dual floating calipers that are on the E63 AMG. 6 pot I believe.

Does the ML have the floating hub along with the compund brakes? Last time I checked it didnt. This is pretty interesting.

The 65's have a floating rotor, I dont think the ML does. The new E/CLS also along with the CLS 55/63 with 030 have floating rotors. So indeed the brakes are very different.

Like the new S65, it uses twin sliding calipers (total of four pads) on a composite disc. The system was developed for AMG by Continental - press release here: http://www.conti-online.com/generato...lipers_en.html

The S65 brakes are huge. But they use good old sliding 2 piston caliper. I wonder if they perform better than the fixed 6 pots from the E63 and SL65. If not why would they use inferior brake on their AMG flagship sedan??

My guess would be that these brakes are far more cost effective than the old brakes, while still being very effective at their duties. Wheel clearance has probably improved as well.
