what did you get your s/A for x-mas?
yes, that's s/a for service advisor not s/o for significant other.
i've never done it before but since my service advisor (actually my service manager) went above and beyond to help me return my car from the dead (ecu recall), i felt compelled to show my appreciation. both my advisor and manager received a small sampler box of cuban cigars.
how about you guys/gals...do you get christmas gifts for your s/a's?

That's true. The best gifts you can give your SA is one that he/she can share with the whole technician team.
One of our clients owns this pizza shop Frankie & Johnnies down here in LA. Every time that guy brings in his car he brings a good 12 pizzas with him....now THAT guy gets the Grade-A treatment. Techs will do anything on that car, no questions asked.

Nada, cant find a good one that deserves anything. When I used to work at Lexus we would get alot of bottle sof wine/champagne or chocolate. And this was back in undergrad when I was working in parts!

Since my S/A is new I will get him nothing BUT, i have had the same guy work on my car forever so I will get him a bottle of wine. He hooks me up lovely so I usually drop him a 20 for lunch every time I bring in my car for service....

I seem to draw a different SA every time I show up at the dealer, and I feel a loyalty to none of them.
If I still had my old 190 or if this car was out of warranty and I was patronizing one of the local independent shops, I'd probably get them something, but as it is, Keyes gets enough of my dough.
When I lived in Chicago I went to a great independent place and got along great with the guys there, so sometimes I'd stop by on Fridays towards the end of the day with a case of beer and we'd all hang out and chew the fat after work. That built a lot of good will towards above-and-beyond service when my car needed it, in addition to providing me with some great memories of good times with good people.

$100. I make sure to deal with same SA each visit. Over past 2-3 years he has saved me at least $3-4K with repairs on my 1992 500E and new wheels which were damaged at the dealer.
