Seems to be difficult to get this tire. Toyo lists kaufmann tire as their dealer but kaufmann website doesn't show the tire. Only online dealer seems to be one in Canada.
Anybody with tips on how to get these ?

Why online? Call Harris or Jeff at Gran Turismo East (http://www.granturismoeast.com/) Best performance tire shop in Atlanta, possibly the entire southeast.

Thanks for the tip. They were able to install same-day and I learned something new about balancing the tires..forgot the machine they used but balances entire wheel assembly on the car. Toyos seem to hook up very well.
I wonder how much this shaves off the 0-60 ?

Gotta be honest....my RA1's SUCK on the street.
The difference from drag radials is night and day. YES...I already know they are meant to be heated to work correctly but was hoping for at least semi-sticky when cold.
Have not roasted them yet, but so far when cruising around....it's been rough.

I've noticed a big difference with these compared to the Nitto 555. Very good traction.
BTW, they did an on-car balancing, first I've heard of that, and feels very smooth, "glassy"

Fantstic tire.
Wonderful grip, good tire life for a R-Comp tire, actually works in the wet as long as there is not a ton of standing water, ok when cold and very sticky when warm, not for drag racing at all but a fantastic track tire. The best part is that you can rotate the tire left right front back (if you run the same size front and back) because it has a non directional tread pattern.
I dont think they make E55 sizing but I could be very very wrong!

Sorry to bring this backup but was just wondering the different sizes these RA1's come in?
Also how do these RA1's compare to let's say PS2's and/or Potenza SO-3's? Looking to get a new set of grip without costing a grip. Hopefully these will somehow improve my traction problems.

I would like to retract my "they suck" review.
Just back from a night of hunting and these tires impress me more each time I use them.
Not sure what the heck happened the night I got nothing but triangle, but tonight was awesome. Great launches and it was 28 degrees out.....sweet!!!

Toyo Ra1s are GREAT tires.. Just swapped out of my PS2s and into the Toyos and they are noticeably stickier. Unfortunately the tracks dont open up again until March.. that is when I think I will be able to really notice the diffference...

I'm running 275's in the rear on 18x9 monoblocks. I love the RA1's. Once they are heated up, they stick well. I switched form PS2's to RA1's and its a big difference. Now thats saying something.
