E55 no more...

Both my E55's are gone the 01' and the 05'. Maybe I'm getting older but for the 1-2 years I owned them, I never had the opportunity to race a single person. No, I was not driving around crusing the typical spots that kids race, but you would have thought somewhere along the line I would have run into someone who might have been interested in a short run. I'm not upset, just a little surpised that it never came about. I don't know where all you people with the mod'd cars live, but I can tell you my time in NY and AZ there just isn't anyone to even consider for a test run. I'm now gone from the W210 and W211 boards. You all take care and drive safe.

Try SoCal next. I can't go a day without rolling up on someone that wants to test out the E. Having no badging definitely helps.

Don't feel bad, I know exactly how it is in NY. I came across an M5 once in Long Island, 5 mins away from Americana Manhassat, going to LIE from Northern Blvd.. Since I have an M6, I know how those E60 M5s are. We came to a stop light, I looked over, the guy in the M5 was sitting straight up like pole position, so I was thinking to myself that he was game and I can finally test out how my E55 would do against one of those. Light turned green, I jumped ahead WOT, thinking the M5 was probably right next to me, but when I looked over, the guy was 3-4 cars behind, and from what I saw, the guy didn't want to race. At that moment I was thinking, what does he need an M5 for? Just to be cool? I am telling you, lots of people I came across in those M's, AMG's, Porsche's don't want to race on the streets, not even for a quick 20 seconds fun. I know we should always obey the traffic law, but it sure doesn't hurt to jump on the cars a little.

Thanks for the info, I will leave them up to my somewhat street legal drag car to play with, if I can wake up early enough on Sundays.

Dallas is the same way. Dullsville. I think I had an Accord V6 try to race me, but I couldn't really tell as he was so far behind.

I was recently told that Friday night at Central market in Plano is a hot spot for people looking for action.

I heard there's a somewhat more mature crowd in Frisco but I don't know the night or location.

I usually pick up a race every 3-4 weeks in Northern VA...last occured yesterday. I was in my E at the light with this Porsche Caynne. I was checking out his brakes at the light. It turned green and he jumped hard and I was caught off guard and I realized it was the Turbo S. We hit the next red light and when it turned green I let out easy to not spin like a maniac and then hammered it at 30mph. He was about 1.5 cars in front then I went WOT to 100mph ... burried him like he was driving a civic by 2-3 bus lengths

NOVA was pretty good for races but is getting worse by the day. Population growth has been 7-10% per year for the last 8-10 years.

About 10-12 years ago I would go out to this one highway strip (rt 28) that was empty, wait for a fast car to drive by, pull out, race him...pretty childish but fun.

Since the roads are not open anymore the only way to get a race is to be first at the light.

I found Long Island to have the most agressive drivers and easy to catch a race...especially the south side near Massepequa, Amityville, Melville, far east side of Nassau county/Sullfok Co.

Famous last words.

Just about everyone that leaves the Kompressor family regrets it.

You'll be back.....(evil laugh) Whoo whoo ahhh ahhhhh......you'll be back.
