Anyone saw this neat feature on E63?

Its bad quality but hey! I like it! Its for Manual mode, tells you when to upshift! Pretty cool!

I think i saw it on CLK DTM car!

Why does the speedo light up? Shouldn't the tach light up? Would make more sense that way.

I think it looks pretty cool. I would assume the speedo lights up since its in the middle and its bigger???

The CLK DTM does have this feature, but I don't think this video is of a CLK DTM. The cluster looks a lot more like a 63 series AMG with the black gauges etc... Maybe we can do this to the W211

old S10 used to have somehting similar, a small light at the right side of dashboard.

Oh i forgot to mention it is E63 duh! ML63 and other 63 vehicles should have it too, it is activated through the cluster menu and its only for manual mode!

Looks neat.

Would be even cooler if the red light gradually lit up and got brighter as you approached redline or even trespass into it.

I think the gauge cluster of the M's have us crushed. The M3's cluster lights up w/ different colors as you get close to red line. Awesome.
It is obviously a step into the right direction from a Mercedes stand point.
