2007 997-TT Spankage
I was driving to my local fish store today to donate a nasty 14 inch wolf fish (huge teeeth....looks just like a snakehead....eats crayfish, other fish, etc.). I had him in a 5 gallon bucket with about 1 gallon of water in the bucket.
About 1/4 mile from the store I spot a red Porsche...I get closer...turbo...closer....3 spoke wheels. 2007 997TT!!!
No 30-day tag so I am hoping he will play.
I cut in front of another lesser Benz from the left lane and get right on his ***. He is in the right lane and we are in traffic doing 30mph on 45mph road. I then realize this could be awful if we race since I have a fish that if it gets out will be flopping everywhere. And it has large teeth...just like a pirahna.
I decide to fasten the fish in and reach all the way over and press the electronic button to secure the passenger seat to the bucket against the glove compartment. Pic below. I then tailgate him and pass by the fish store...at this point I am commited to stake him out.
About 1/2 mile down the road we catch a red light and I am right behind him and a minivan is in the left lane. I realized there was no one in front of him and got excited.
I switch off the ESP so that I do not bog. Light turns green and he eases out then floors it. About 1.5 cars (20 feet) are between us when he kicks it. I hammer it in M mode at 15 mph and quickly pull into the left lane around the minivan.
I notice I quickly reel him in and by the time I hit 60 I am even with him...I did not even shift and let the car shift in M mode....I let off at 95 mph as a curve is ahead and he is a solid 2-2.5 cars back. Even if he didn't have his overboost on I am sure I would have torn him up still. Basically he got beat by 4-4.5 cars.
We catch a red light and I roll down the passenger window down to try to talk to him. He is about 40 ish. Its gotta be a long and uncomfortable 2 minute red light...He doesn't even acknowledge me and just looks straight ahead but his son...probably 7 or so looks at me like I just stabbed daddy's brand new christmas present in the heart. I don't know who felt worse...dad or son. I made a u-turn and turned in my killer fish in one piece.

but the grill adds 12 rwhp
I wish there was one that looked more upscale then this $250 one but I have not found one. I think the stocker looks...too stock... and I like to get races and this seems to work along with the cut outs and 5 inch deep dishes. Definitely not trying to build a sleeper.

nice kill. wonder how Renn/stage 1 would run vs 997 TT in 1/4? mine runs about 560hp/610 tq at crank. considering headers and ic, but not sure of prx/perform trade off.

m52e55, treynor has a promotive 997 TT. Maybe he can do couple of spirited runs with you.
This is Ben's 997 dynochart.

thanks, adam...interesting compare-fairly similar #'s to my rt-1 post dyno-power/weight prob another consideration. 997 turbo side/side run...and ruin my perfect won/loss record in the fantasy 1/4 mile (ha) 
...would think it would be close and driver dependent...guess the headers and ic may put the nose/nose potential run to rest (at least to 120)...

Yes I am a total nut when it comes to cichlids....the wolf fish is no joke.
I'd rather get spanked then bitten by it...attached are some pics I found on google of a full grown one...it is the ugliest thing on earth....the smaller ones around about 8 inches in these pics...mine was over a foot long.
It bullied a ate the fins off my two wild caught 14 inch jaguar and 14 inch dovii cichlids from Nicargua.... which are below fighting....the tank was a mad house....teeth hanging out everywhere
I live in the DC area...I think Treynor lives in Cali? Would be cool to run one. My friend has a 800hp 996 TT Evoms stage +++++. He spanks me silly like I am glued to the road as it traps 140mph.

Numbers game yes, but then again, it depends on a lot of factors; drivers ability, etc.

No disrespect intended, but the LAST thing the 911 was designed for is a drag race. It will destroy the E55 at a roadrace.
Both are fantastic cars, but built with an entirely different purpose.

agree w/ newmoses as am former 993 owner awhile back. have to say in straight-line drag though that the 55 is a MONSTER -esp. if modded-not much can touch it, even in 2 door exotic land; 4 door saloon land-forgetaboutit...

One more off topic post...if your an angler before you die goto the Amazon basin or Africa and hunt the prehistoric Sabertooth aramatus Chachrin/Payra and the African Goalith Tigerfish. (That isn't me in the pics). I've had both in my tank but they are hard to very keep.
