i just replayed the video and have 3 observations.

1) so the subara got a jump first due to initiating the run - "whenever you're ready, just honk and go..."

2) the subara was at most one car length ahead, could have been easily from the momentum of initiating first

3) this was still a stupid place to race

i have no beef w/ bashing subara or defending MB, and i don't care about racing in the street...i'd still say the same thing if this was a yugo racing a kia.

to those who question whether is a kill, yes its a kill, if you had $ on the 55 you wouldve lost

up to 150 i think the subaru will stay ahead, its got crazy high end power and its most likely geared for 160 or so.

weight played a HUGE factor in that race... but I would still pick my E55 regardless...

you can make a mini van run 11's, doesn't mean its a better car. people often mistake a faster car as a better one, and more often than not thats just not the case.

that suburu was definetly just keeping up. The first try the subu. took off first. The second time the E55 let off the gas and the subu. kept it on.
