Veyron is ugly compared to the CCX. I don't care if it has 4 turbos or 8.
CCX has optional CF wheels, CF brake disc, and titanium hats for the CF brake disc, also magnesium alloy casing for the transmission unit.

I agree with you about the Veyron - I don't get it. I think that is one butt ugly car.

Here's a pic of the 'segg with Dymag CF wheels. They are absoutely beautiful. One of the guys on the porsche forum has ordered them for his 997S. I think they weigh about 15 lbs. ea. or thereabouts. I know CF is strong but I'm not sure how they would hold up on lousy roads. Also, there is no way you can fix a curb rash like you can with regular wheels. I think the porsche guy said they were about 12K?
I also understand that they will make them any color you want and any fitment you need.

A guy had one in the gumball rally and it fell apart. Clarkson tried one which was really badly built too. They do one with a huge hp i believe (c.800) but unless you have dozens of cars and don't care about resale an LP640 is a better bet. Oh, and a 997 GT3 RS would murder one around any track but a bowl

I have been in the car, its quite amazing. However, I dont really fit well. Fit and finish is amazing. Price keeps going up. This is me in the car. A good friend has a deposit on one, at will be close to 800k with all options (CF Dymag wheels, stereo, interior, custom paint, etc).
Regarding the Dymags- 12K is pretty high. We were able to negotiate down to 7K for a Noble group buy. They are SUPER strong, much more than an aluminum wheel, but yes, curbing could affect the intergrity of the ENTIRE wheel. Just as in a composit aircraft. Totally different MFG process. You would probably need to do regular maintenance checks and scannings to check for stress cracks, few times a year.

A friend was able to get a hold of this car before the unveiling.. well connected! These pics were from so-cal.
And no, they havent even begun production for US allocation yet. Begins late this year. This is the only one in the US that I'm aware of and remains in LV

i saw it at the LA auto show. i thought it looked super on the outside, design and all, but the inside was very spartan thin chairs, and the connecting rods between pedals, steering wheels were all exposed.looked like a metal jungle down there. in comparison, the veyron looked bejeweled inside. i like them both

That, and you could have a CCX, SLR, Arnage TT and a summer home for the price of the Veyron

.. You realize the CCX weighs almost half of what the Veyron does? (2600 vs 4200) And will run circles around most any car on the road? They arent even in the same league. Its supposed to be spartan. its a legitimate race car. Interior is quite beautiful with amazing fit/finish, given the constraints. If you want "spartan" check out a Ferrari F40 or a Noble.

Negative
1. K'segg CCX
2. Zonda F
http://www.topgear.com/content/tgonb...times/thestig/
CCX also has more reasonable styling.. Zonda is more "subjective" although I can appreciate it. Tuned Benz V12 650hp + anorexic teletubby styling vs twin supercharged 800hp V8 + removeable hardtop. Tough call.

They ran the first test and it had a bit of instability due to the bump in power to 800. K'segg added a small rear spoiler and it solved the downforce issue, and they dropped 3 seconds from the lap time. Now the car comes with it standard.
