Your's might, but mine doesn't go past 158. Uphill, downhill, flat road doesn't matter. Maybe they all aren't the same.

Dyno mode does not turn off the speed limit, that is one reason why we dyno in 4th, right? Other than that, you just usually go for whichever gear is closest to 1:1 ratio.

Yeah, and again it makes me wonder if the cars are different or if my speedo is off? Dunno. all I know is that it hit 160 without a problem and was still pulling when i backed off.

Hey Jangy I assume you had the digital mph display up and weren't reading the needle right? The cars must be different because I hit the limiter on mine more times than I could count and everytime was the same fast to 156 then eased up to 158. Pretty much everytime I had it floored the whole time, which as we all know doesn't take long. My experience is the same as Can Drive 55.

Yes, I am going by the digital display. I figure even if it is off, the ECU reads the same number, right?

Maybe my car accelerates better than other un-modded cars? LOL!!!!

I've hit the limiter quite a number of times at full throttle and it just won't add any speed after 157-160. No bucking or anything, it just won't go any faster.

After my IC pump started acting up, the car would not go over 142, period. Got the pump replaced last week and it was strong all the way up to 157 today.

Does anyone know if the digital display will continue to show accurate speeds above 160 for those of us with the 160 MPH speedo, assuming you have the limiter removed?

Hmmmm, I never thought of that. Mine goes up to 200. Anyone with ECU mods and 160MPH speedos test it out?

Damn Jay, are your wheels ok??? They look ok from the pics. I think I would be more scared going 140+ on 25 series tires and are yours Y rated?

I don't know if I hit anything I never feel comfortable going high speed on 25 series. Stuck on the 5 south at 46 degrees 3am wasn't pleasant but thanks to Tele Aid. My wheel is fine, it's at discount tire now waiting for a new tire.

WHAT did you hit? Is it possible the tire bead came off the rim?

Did you get a flat bed or do you have a spare?

I used a spare tire to get home. There was no vibration at all when I got up to 140 (plenty of room to reach above 155 too). When I slowed down to 80, the car started drifting, my friend and I thought it's just strong wind. I sensed that it's a flat so I pulled over. I'm very cautious driving on the road with these tires, 25 series is unpredictable.

Well I am glad it was just the tire and nothing else ... like your safety. So will you go with the same tire or switch to Yoko's. I dont think anybody else makes a 285x25 but Pirelli and Yoko.
