Jangy,
sd crew will love stage 1. my rt-1 post dyno ~560hp/605 tq at crank. she screams... Adam at Euro-E's did great job w/ install/service. should maybe RENN-debadge as cannot get any p/f-car to play (except for one f-car kill a week ago at slow roll onto fwy, then up to 90 mph-f-car got walked badly). only response lately was young kid in new M3 that followed me and then pulled up alongside at light and asked about mods done-then did thumbs up and said f#%^in b@# a$$ car...seemd like nice guy.

We'll be doing full pre and post dynos and data analysis, so there will be plenty to post. The first ride should be rolling through any day now.

In prepping for my minor surgery, I am taking the E in to get an oil change and check up just to make sure all systems are go!!
Can anyone comment on the RENNTech toe links? I am planning lots of RENN power, and the 295s in the rear, so I am starting to worry about all the flex in the rear. I need to identify all the bushings back there, so I can replace what I can. I wonder if RENNTech would know about that and have any options?

pulls like freight train. usually baby car, but recommend pushing card hard (when safe) as the new ecu/software will reset to new hp/tq and car.

WOOOOHOOO!!! I am stoked!! Have you tested the "ECU reset" trick to see what it does to the mod (if anything). I assume it doesn't affect the programming, but I was wondering if the "learning" part of the ECU is modified with the coding as well.

I am sure you will do a good job keeping us informed with factual and objective data. I am looking forward to the reviews. Care to say why you went with RENNtech and not Kleemann?

Sure. I like RENNTech because of their reputation and cleaner link to MB (i.e. ECU codes, warranty support, etc.). I was never looking to milk every last bit of power from it. I wanted the perfect balance of power and reliability, and RENNTech fit perfect. In all honesty, I'd say K makes more power when comparing particular upgrades, but I'd have to say that the downside (troubleshooting, etc) is far less (in my opinion) from RENNTech than any other tuner. It seems like every tuner has had their challenges here and there, and to K's credit, they have been strong with customer support to help alleviate it for theirs. But, I just have not found that many issues with RENNTech to even start with.

I agree with the logic. The closest MB dealership that is a RENNtech dealer is in the Houston area. I have talked to them and they say that the warranty will not be affected by the mods. I just wish there was one in the local area. There is, however, a Kleemann/MB dealership in Dallas. I might have a talk with them, but I think I would rather drive the 250 miles and go for the R.

can drive 55,
yes. can see my pre/post dyno graphs on dyno=jet here if search "install renntech stage 1 today..." car was very healthy pre-dyno, but got very big jump in hp/tq gain post RENN. 557/605 hp/tq to be exact and wre hot runs-cold runs may have been at least as good , or better, on dyno.

thought about that. seems given stock ic, that headers usually warrant new intercooler pump sooner/later...have heard good combo w/ at least as much hp/tq gain post stage 1 is tb (tb & ic combo) vs headers (headers & ic). yes, giving some thought, but split time w/ 55 w/ wife on occasion (esp. if bad SF weather , then take our suv). good thing is unlike the M5/Dinan and Carrera (993) I had previous, she still feels stock w/ mods (RT-1 )until you mash and unleash hell. the 55 is BEST car have owned so far-LOVE her dearly (my wife too ). good luck and let me know if any questions-glad to try and help.

I'm assuming you are doing pre/post dynos, so do share!!
Either way, as long as you are stoked. Life is relative for us all. Very nice setup.

LOL, I hear ya. You really expect that much from exhaust? I can see the headers, but that would only be a stage 3. Have you done the TB? That may be your bottle neck, and withwhat you've already done, it may almost be needed to really unleash the spirit within. The airbox would be "optional" from a gains perspective.
