Great Deal on 997 Supercharged

Someone got a smoking deal on this 997 Supercharged 911 built by EVOMS. I was watching this auction and was very close to pulling the trigger on it, but I decided to hold off for the 997 TT

The owner posted that car for sale here in the classifieds about 3 weeks back or so. Sweet a$$ ride.

What do you guys think???

I contacted the owner of this sc'd 911 and he is interested in trading me his car for my car (E55 K3) + 6K in cash? Would you guys do it? Naturally, my biggest concern is warranty issues being supercharged and resale (he is having an extremely hard time selling it)

It did.... But like 50% of most Ebay Bidders, my buyer flaked on me... Long story short - he never made the deposit! I have lost a LOT of faith in Ebay and selling cars latey! It uste to be a great avenue to sell High End cars, but now every joker in the world thinks it's fun or makes them "King for the Day" to press the "Bid" or "But It Now" button.... I am currently working with ebay to see what i can do to him, but you know how that goes... Just getting someone live to talk to has taken 5 days????

Option #1 - I am going to re-list this weekend at No Reserve again, but the starting bid this time will be 68K! I have one guy who I offered a 2nd chance offer to for $70k and he wants it, BUT I would have to wait 4 weeks for him to get back from Europe? I don think I want to sit idle by and wait, what if he does the same thing and doesnt care about loosing a deposit? One of my problems with listing it originally was that I did it in December and around the Holidays, bad idea..... Note to self - Dont sell high end things around Christmas

Option #2 - Part the car out. EVOMS will charge me about $2000 in labor to take everything off and turn back to stock (Supercharger, Headers, Exhaust, Suspension, Brakes, ect..). There are a ton of guys on 6speed that want all of the above parts and given me firm offers & will give me there stock parts + cash. I would then sell the car stock with the body kit and wheels for the same amount - $70-71K and walk away with roughly $8000.00+ in my pocket after all labor is said and done.... This seems like the way to go, but will take some effort and I dont have the time.....

Option #3 - Trade with someone that has a car that I like and we both walk away happy! This seems to be the easiest!

The car has been somewhat harder to sell than a stock car, but it just takes a special buyer like me & alot of you that want modified cars~ To me, thats all I want.... Why waste 40K in mods when you can get them for $.5-$.10 on a dollar.... At 70k, you ae getting these mods for roughly $.5 on a dollar (Almost FREE). I got a pretty good deal on it at the time from Todd @ EVOMS and will be loosing less than $10K.... Not bad!
