LOL, this is too funny. The responses are either DO IT or DON'T DO IT!!
Have you even gone down there to see it for yourself after the crash? See what happens.

What are they offering as a discount? I personally wouldn't do it. But if the price is a determining factor, you can sleep at night without be haunted by ghosts of cracked tail lenses, aren't able to see the subtle differences in color between original and freshly painted body panels then do it. I'm really interested to see how much they're willing to discount the car after repair.

Unless they are a fantasic body and paint shop you will see color/shade difference in the paint when you walk side to side at different angles. Also different lights will show different tones.
If you are ok with that and the price is good then go for it. But you might want to think about how someone else would feel about the paint when you go to sell the car someday.

I thought body shops usually are not ever able to get the crease of the metal to be perfect as stock? People from the body shop told me before that they can hammer and shape as much as possible but you would still see a differece? If it was only the rear bumper than it would not have been a big deal. I never would buy anything (well atleast expensive live the merc) that had damage to the rear quarter panel.

Not sure how much they are willing to discount it yet, but I am definitely not going to buy the car unless its fixed by my buddy here in the bay area that does high end vehicles...
They will not be fixing that quarter panel... They're going to replace it, I wouldnt get it otherwise.

Here's a good question... How MUCH do you guys think that this repair is going to cost? It WILL be done at a high-end reputable dealership, so don't be conservative on the quote. I want to match it up with the adjuster's quote, who should be inspecting the car at a MB dealership tomorrow.
