AMG paddle shifters
For those who are so willing to get their steering wheel shifters replaced by something bigger/updated and have no problem in doing some modifications themselves – we have several new sets of original Mercedes aluminum AMG paddle shifters from the updated – 2007 – models. These paddle shifters will not fit into the older 55 steering wheels without any modifications (the required hole in the steering wheel is a different size) and will not be compatible with all steering wheel electronics (the shifter control electronics got changed in 2005) so you will have to do some work to make these fit your steering wheel – they don’t fit just by themselves (neither do the BMW paddle shifters and somebody retrofitted those in the past as well).
We offer these paddle shifters (as is) for 125USD per set (incl. shipping per IP post)…getting them fitted to your steering wheel is up to you.

This may be old news, but today I saw at the dealer a new E350 with a Sport package with paddle shifters, whose mounting footprint was almost identical to E55 shift buttons.
I asked my dealer to get me a pair to see if they will fit.
I have a brand new OE E55 steering wheel in a box from which we "stole" the switches to put in my MP Design wheel.
We will try the paddles in that wheel first, before pulling my MP Design wheel apart.

Are they also metal .... looks like they could be plastic?
BTW that steering wheel looks like better leather and finish than the POS OEM E55 unit...

That silver paint will wear out on all corners very soon.
The black paddles are thick and solid black plastic with silver +/- signs.
These pictures are of the new E350 interior.

I have a set here also and they are definitely an aluminum based paddle.. Either that or they have a piece of lead stuck inside of them because they have some weight to them.

You may not have looked at the same ones.... Maybe there are different version of them?? The ones I have are from the AMG performance package.
I bought the paddles & the carpet piece for the driver's side that has the aluminum footrest built into it...
They are a heavy aluminum paddle.. I'll take some pics tonight and post them.
I am doing an interior overhaul so I'll tackle the install on these in the coming weeks.

The ones you have shown are for the non amg models. The ones that are from AMG are very heavy and definately metal! The non amg model paddle shifters are plastic and smaller. Definately of cheaper quality!

Also , when I unplug the white conector on the right of the wheel I forgot to check it should be connect to up or down pins of the right side of the wheel . anyone can help me out please . Thanks

Either way, they both are probably too close to the MP Designs rim to get the fingers under in normal driving.

x-tian-230k , How's your project of the 63 paddles ? I just removed the air bag and saw there are red conectors on both side with 2 pins of each side while the 63 had 3 pins so I don't know what to do now , just shoot Kenvin an PM and wait if he cans help me .

I actually X-ed the AMG paddle shifter project as it was going to take alot of modification. Not only does the electronics are not compatible but you also have to cut into the steering wheel because of the foot print of the 63 paddle. Its larger. I did take both the paddle and the button apart to see what it looked like and it was going to take some long hours to swap the insides of the botton with the paddles. With that being said, I decided to go the other route. I got hold of some SMG paddles and a dremmel tool. I have paddles, but not 63 paddles. Ill post pictures if you want.

on the right of the wheel it had white connector to connect to the wheel , but also the wheel had 2 connector pins , one up & one down on the right side . I forgot which is the right one to plug in so VRUS , you're a Master do you or any one have any idea . Thanks
