Happened this afternoon...
Fix it ticket for both no front plates and tints.
Anyone around Bay Area knows a good shop that can remove and later install the tints again?

Any shop will, but they will charge. Did you get a fix it? If so, just get your neighborhood cop to sign off. Where did you get it? I was in Marin for a few years and they really care about that. Here in SD I've had 10% tint for ages with no issues.

Yup got a fix it for both. I was planning to just put the plates and get a cop to sign it, but afraid they still see my windows...
Got it at downtown SF, Japan town to be exact.
I've had the tints for quite some time now and usually cops don't give a shiat about it until now...

Wait till you get the ticket in the mail. Often they'll give you two choices: get it fixed and pay a smaller fine, or pay a larger fine. In your case, I'd suggest the latter if they offer you the choice.
Another suggestion: I get very bad ligh-triggered migraines. Some time any flash of light will trigger debilitating pain, severe vomiting, etc... You can get a letter from a doctor (under the California Vehicle Code, I forget the section) that will PERMIT you to tint your front windows. The down-side is you still get hassled and pulled over, but as long as you keep the letter with you @ all times, they can't write you a ticket.

You can either remove the tint and get it signed off or what I usally do is just leave it on and pay the fine. Cause if you go to the tint shop and have them take it off there gonna charge you money if you put it back on there gonna charge you money which just might add up to the fine. Beside your driving a car close to 100,000 or more maybe whats a 150.00 ticket. Sh** on that officer.

I just got a fix-it ticket in SF for "no front plate". No need to drill your front bumper to "fix" it. I just screwed my plate into the OEM bracket, and used double-sided tape to stick the bracket onto the bumper
