more, percentagewise, if looking at So.Cal as a closed universe.
Jimand7 or whatever he's called... is he related to MashedPotatoes? btw, is it just me, or are we still waiting for photographic evidence of all those great cars of his, like that "one-of-a-kind" 2007 CL600?

that's even worse, because the desperation of the color is amplified by the sticker price! I have a colleague in the office; we're both car-guys. He's acquainted with one of the sales guys at a dealership in the valley that sells exotics, and he's been told by the salesman that young guys come in, buy a lambo or ferrari for somewhere in the $300k range, drive it for a couple of months and then they're back, trading it in and losing about $100k on the trade, because the car is too much for LA streets, and too little to be practical.
That said, and notwithstanding that those cars are cool to look at, my opinion of yellow lambo's is that they usually have a chump behind the wheel.
unless you're jay leno, or you are living in autobahn land where speed limits are nonexistent and the roads are exceptionally well-maintained, those cars are just showboats for people who can't think of anything better to spend their money on. i'd rather have a tuned up vette or SL55 or something (yeah, even a yellow one if you insist) because it would at least be suited for the reality of the everyday driving experience around here (i.e. on the continent of North America).

I never meant to make it a pissing contest nor would anyone call me cocky that new me or anything. I am very grateful to have everything I have big and small. So I really was not trying to be a show off with cars. I mean this is a car enthusiast forum.

I don't think Jimand meant to make it a pissing contest. Coming from Chicago...he can visualize the hairy chest gold chain Corvette guys cuz we have our fair share here !!!

it's not like my e55 or my slk320 before it are built anything near as well as my '73 w108 sedan. the paradigm has shifted, gentlemen; if our cars are the hallmark of quality, the entire industry's gone into the schidder bigtime!!!

Yea I love it here Chicago) but the winters are not fun. My wife heads back to San Diego with my kid for the month of feb. She cannot handle it here being from there.
PS I was thinking of my posts in this forum when I was watching will ferrel in "Talledega nights" yesterday.
He drove a yellow corvette.
