Group Buy on a Reus System?

I saw gE63's ride afetr the sytem upgrade and it is the best I have seen yet. You almost have to look for all the subtle changes they made, but the sound is right there.
Anyone else have feedback on them?

Rick Reus is the master when it comes stereo systems. I've been to his shop, he custom makes the amps, speakers and everything. My friend had his system done in his Lambo, a group buy won't happen with him, he doesn't need the business that bad.

Ha ha, there is no such thing as too much business or money. I would never say never when it comes to business or when it comes to Jangy and his ideas

I agree, but I will eat my words if you get a group buy with Reus.

Done. These systems are SICK!! and I've already talked to them about the idea. I will be more than just group buying. I want to send them all kinds of business. My interest is to be associated with them. All I need is a minimum of 5 of us to sign up and for Kevin to throw out a realistic price, given the quality of work.

Start to chew, bro.

lol to funny... well I recall my Cayenne was going to be around $7k, and I know my friends Lambo was around $9K, he has different packages. Also as you probably know, location doesn't matter, he fly's guys out to do the installs, he sends the equipment first, and then installers show up. Also once you buy the system, for about $1k he will move that system to your next car.

So $3K for a full out MB system (replace all speakers, add a center speaker to mirror, add a sub and amps in the spare) that looks almost stoock is going to be food for you? Lets get the rules straight beofre you make excuses later. I started this thread, so i know what they do. I'm also the pickiest person you'll come accorss, so again that is why Reus. If they will work with me, they are guaranteed 10 - 20 cars in the span of a few months. Maybe they want that business, maybe they don't.

Group Buy is on (so start chewing Kevin). Can those that are interested either PM me or post interest here so we can get a head count?

Also, can those that have the system (gE63) give a brief write up on exactly what is included? I will also find out from Reus and see if I can get pics.

The E63 I saw (Greg's) looked and sounded AWESOME!! Extremely clean setup. Very functional and the sound quality was EXCELLENT!!

This is definitely the only "system" I have seen that I would consider getting.

For a price I'm sure they will. They make all of their own stuff and have been doing it for quite some time. This group buy is for locals, though. Sorry.

The Reus system is the cleanest aftermarket system I’ve had in any of my cars. These guys really know their stuff, down to tuning the system to perfection once installed. The install consists of replacing most (I’m not entirely sure if they replaced all of the speakers) of your factory speakers. They replace the factory sub with a massive unit and also add an additional sub within the spare tire. They actually use the spare tire as an enclosure that houses an additional sub. Btw…if you need to use the spare the top and bottom of the enclosure are removable. The new subs are run by two dedicated amps that are mounted within the spare tire compartment. They also add a center cannel speaker within your rear view mirror. Everything they do is custom made (including speakers, subs and amps) by Reus.

They also have a system with a box including two subs mounted in the trunk, but with the fold down rear seats in the 63, I did not want to lose this option. I could not be happier with the system. Only problem is that is produces so much base that a lot of things rattle in the car, which sounds like distortion. I’m now on a mission to lock everything down. I’ll post some picks in the morning if anyone is interested.

I would be down to do all of that as the stock system seems to only be able to go up to 7 and I would like to turn nellly furtado up to 11.

just so that bmoreAMG is straight did you notice any performance decreases by adding sound equipement?

so am a #2 or #3?

I wouldn't think so. The optics would be a good wiring system. i think they just replace all speakers, add the one in the mirror, and do the subs.

I had read that there are alot of problems with the fiber optics.. and many sound guys are replacing them..

that would make sense for a 7-10k job..

for instance when my black berry rings my radio buzzes...

Im not sure what causes that.. maybe the fiber optics picks up the signal or my black berry is going to give me brain cancer...

I had never heard that. in general fiber optics are the way to go for clear sound, so I don't get it. At any rate, add all your questions and I will get them addressed by Reus.

it does not happen in my bmw 7 series also equiped with fiber optics but the sound in that car is horrible.

the only thing i dislike about my e63 is the sound does not go that loud it has good balance...
A center channel would be awesome with some better bass from behind..

the phone buzzing is wierd... and I cant figure it out.. Im waiting for my integrated phone and ipod doc
