Hmmm.....
Tough decision ... my first thought was CL600 - V12 - moddable and great shape - you already got the G55 so dont see the point of Cayenne TT as a DD - although a fabulous car - but its just had a face lift.
How about a new (V8) M3 bimmer to mix things up? Nimble - awesome roadholding ... and yes a trip on the dark side! Otherwise I would look at a Cayman S if space was not important and you wanted it asap. Sorry to go off list....
but thats probably what I would do if it was only me rolling and I did not need to haul kids.
Cayman S with a couple of VVT turbo's to help things along would be fun!

Can I add a car?
What about an S class?
There is a reason these cars are used as taxis and airport limos around the world. 4 doors and comfortable. Of course the CL beats it, but if you need 4 doors...
Here in the DC area you see a lot of CLs in rush hour as daily drivers, so there is something there also.
If you are adding a 3rd car to your mix, what about down grading the E55 to the daily driver and picking up an SL55.

I think I understand your personality a little when it comes to cars. I would wipe off the SRT8 because I personally couldn't keep my hands out of it in terms of modification = by by daily driver. I mean it's cheaper and easier to mod the **** out of that truck and make it ridiculous.
...tough question. I guess my 2cents is to buy something that you will be less likely to want to modify.
my next daily driver when I ditch my Ford Explorer "white trash" edition will be a 4-matic C or E-class that I would never waste a dime or minute modifiying.

............My G55 up until now was my daily driver. I have modified it to the point that the thing is just too beastly to be driven daily. I never thought I would say this. I plan now to reserve it as my weekend warrior until my E55 twin turbo project is completed.
...........I need a new daily driver in $40K to $50K range. Mileage and warranty are both completely unimportant to me. I already have an AMGV8K in the G55 so unfortunately a post 03 E55 is not an option. My options are below. Help me decide. Thanks.
1. Grand Cherokee SRT8.
2. 2003 CL600
4. 2003 CL55
5. 2003-2005 Range Rover
6. 2001-2002 CLK55 with a Kleemann s/c
7. 2004 Porsche Cayenne Turbo
.........I know these are vastly different cars, but which one would rather drive everyday?
Ted

I don't know where you live but if you need AWD at all, the Range Rover is basically a 'car' that happens to be extremely capable in the snow, ice and off road. Luxurious as well. Mine (knock on wood) is very dependable.
