Anyone want to collaborate on shorty headers?
I have decisded to stick with Creative and RennTech for the pulley, IC upgrade and new pulley (when released). From there, I think I finally wore out my welcome. Tough **** for me, huh? I still need to complete the project and headers and toe links are next. I saw VRUS has some toe links begun, so maybe I can help and i also want to be a force behind dropping a new header that we all like for a nominal price.
Do I start from scratch and on my own, or is anyone in this place??

Im looking to add yellow window stickers.
I hear yellow window stickers = big hp gains though it is debateable whether it is AEM or Nuespeed that delivers more hp per square inch a of vinyl.
is there something wrong with renntech or kleeman headers?
are they long tubed?
forgive the ignorance.
I am waiting for headers for the naturally aspirated.
amg + naturally aspirated is like an oxymoron.
what did I get myself into.
reading about all of the mods for E55s
I fumming with jealousy.

I saw an 63 on ebay claiming to have renntech headers..
Kleemans not bolt ons? are they weld on?
Headers are expensive to produce. I know a place in Burbank, Ca that will make custom bolt ons for about 1200-1500 per... stainless steel.
I will have to look up the name... I would be down to invest in some fun though..

Headers are expensive, but expensive is relative.

I have a renntech coupon 1 free phone call on your mbz integrated blue tooth to a renntech tech with purchase of 5k or more in upgrades.. so the airbox would qualify you?

I have been approached by HarmanMotive. They are expanding into the BMW and MB product line. I have volunteered my E55 as the tooling and test mule for a long tube header and mandrel system similar to the Supersprint and or Chromikey's system. Preliminary conversation is the headers would be stainless mandrel bends not welded sections......high flow cats and tuned X-Pipe......all thick wall material. My concern to them is drone and having a 90k car sound like a 67 Camaro and most important NO CEL. They fully agree and any drone or unbearable exhaust tone is their concern as well.
Cost would be more than half of the Supersprint system......something around 3k. His goal is to get products to the market without the over blown prices we have been subjected to! This will take about 7-9 working days and the project is slated to start mid next week.
