I have to agree, I had a 2.0 RRE built race motor with TRE tranny 4g63 in my evo8 and it made around 425whp on 91 octane and 560whp on 100 octane but it was by no means a daily driver....too many issues. Although I spent like no tomorrow trying to make it as dependable as possible but when you've changed the entire car like that....too many issues can break. But in general it was much more dependable than other heavily modded cars because it was done right. I have to agree that the e55 is a much better daily since so far it's been problem free (knock on wood) and I don't break into cold sweat when I see police (I'm young, and asian, perfect target). That's one main issue holding me back from doing any mods to the e55....$$ to hp ratio is ridiculously bad compared to modding Japanese cars and I rather keep it factory to maintain dependability.

Yeah you get really spoiled when a $200 downpipe gives you 40rwhp.

yeah when you spend ridiculous money modifying cars, it just becomes a constant money pit in maintaining and I rather now save the money for another car down the road. BTW, props on the Supra, nice lookin car and a clean engine bay.

I treid many times with many diff moded Evos and Subarus...with my car stock 55 and not stock...

As for C6 ZO6 well all depends on a lauch of course but from my experience K2 E55 can beat stock C6 ZO6 in 1/4...

M113 's yes but after I got rid of the 4.3L motor the TQ in the 5.5L does not drop off like the motor in your car. Hence I now drive a W202 with a 5.5L motor. Once you chg the exh, this car screams even more to redline.

In the 4.3 or 5.5? What type of exhaust setup would you recommend?

My Stock E55 has been walked by a 418Awhp EVO(pump gas 21psi) starting at 50mph.(GT-35 turbo, 272 cams, AEM, and other supporting mods) My E made 415Rwhp. It's not a big deal. I am well aware of how much lighter the EVO is. Just having good fun. After that I just went home and got the S/C Viper to go get even..... No contest at that point....... Good fun of course.

Who cares if a EVO beats a E55 AMG. One thing that E55 AMG owners get is hot *****es.

No way in hell a hot girl will choose a EVO 8/9 versus a E55 AMG (or any current Mercedes)

EVO are like tampons, every ***** gets one

One of my techs is building a AE86 hatchback with a 400+ hp SR20DET. He tells me that he would walk over a E39/E60 M5 on the freeway, but I tell him I will take home the women.

Mike

nice stuff. looks like a 60 trim turbo to spool that late for a 2.4, that's when a gt35r spooled for my built 2.0. Looks like the tuning up top could use some smoothing though unless there's something else we don't know. 4g6x motors are really something.

That's a RRE 4g64 with a GT35R, ported head, 272s, etc. EMS management. There was prob more, but I didn't want to go past 30psi.

my c6 z06 i think wouldve taken my e straight. but pulley, ecu and headers later thought my e'd up the pace. than non-runflats on the z brought it back (but feriocously i might add, that 427 makes a mean sound). but a set of header backs cost like 2k for the z so you can make much more power in the z06 cheaply. as for the mitzu. i remember reading like 5 years ago this asian car had mucho hp and did 0-60 in 4.4. that was the first evo here and ive been a fan ever since. just not a fan of gay a$$ toyotas!!! ha ha ha

Cool stuff, I know the guys @ RRE well, they built my whole car as well. Looks a bit laggy for a 35r on a 2.4, that's how it spools on my car, I got a .63 exhaust side so maybe that has something to do with it. Nice car man....next time you talk to Robert (either @ RRE or RRS), give my regards. I'm sure there was more left, I've hit 33psi on 110 octane @ Tuning Tech. and my clutch fitting blew wide open....those guys took care of me on their day off, nowhere else I would leave my dsm or evo other than rre. Who tunes your ems? Scot tuned mine and he's the only one I would let tune my car.

Does Mike still work at RRE? He's good too!

I was about to say the same thing about the 35r looking laggy but still nice HP.

If you're talking about Mike W., he owns RRE. RRE is now seperated into 3 branches, RRC (Road Race Chasis), RRS (Road Race Service), and RRE (Road Race Engineering).
