well I think the real question is, would he use it more if it didn't suck so much. I know I would. I'd use the Nav in my mom's lexus to look for nearby restuarants all the time, my 07 nav couldn't find the largest caino in Socal last night in the POI. So yeah, I don't use it much at all simply because I know it sucks.
I used it constantly on my RL (best nav in the business).
The voice commands like, "Nearest Japanese Restaurant"
or "Nearest Zagat restaurant" and it would then show all the zagat rated places, and their scores and reviews!
Also, the real time traffic flow and accident info is invaluable during rush hour.
It's truly amazing, but still not worth owning for that alone. The driving dynamics count for a lot more to me.
