Enzom,
How many people do you think are going to run barefoot now?
I think I might try it.....

Actually - One very cold day last season I went to E-town wearing these really thick-soled shoes. I couldn't really get a good feel for the gas pedal, and I was killing my launches by giving it too much throttle. I took the shoe off on my last run, and managed a decent time. So since then, I have run without my right shoe. Yes, it is odd.

Light weight modifications!!!!!! Who's gonna be the first to go down the track naked? Or maybe hire a horse jockey to put your car down the track!

Sock stays on. Shoe remains in the car - so it isn't about weight. But I do wonder if I should toss it in the trunk to get more weight over the rear tires.

Seriously, if you run with a very thick sole, you won't be precise with the pedal.

See for yourself how Enzom achieves his record setting times

I must say that when I first heard about Enzom's 1/4 mile times in a stock E55, I was very surprised to say the least. How could a stock E55 be so fast? The magazine numbers were at least 0.6 seconds slower. I tried to find the shop where he had work done on his car, but I came up empty. I then heard about his launch technique. I watched it over and over again, but still couldn't find the answer. And then one day, he said meet me one hour before the track opens and I will reveal my secret. How could I refuse? What he didn't realize was that I had a hidden camera. See for yourself how Enzom achieves these record breaking times... Sorry Enzom, it is only right that we share this with the MBWorld community...
