Yo Jangy..... I was just messing with ya on your E55.. We all know you add a considerable amount of knowledge here on the forums... Just bustin your ballz bro... ANyways, keep the S/B on for a week... If you want a more modulated ride, keep it in comfort mode..... Its much smoother for everyday driving... Its a different beast with it on... Honestly, when you take it off and drive, you'll think to yourself why is my car so weak..... And its not a placebo about the delay...it sure does get rid of it...

So is the Sprintbooster worth buying for the 63? From the posts it seems like it really works.

I would definitely do it on a non-aspirated. For the price, I may even say yes to it for the E55. I can't decide for sure until I hit the canyons or a track. Around town, the ride is rougher, but that is all part of the beast.

I just escalated the dispute, maybe it will get his attention? I like supporting the little guys that do these types of sales on the side but this is ridiculous.

When I get my money refunded which vendor do you guys recommend?

Sandoval did you ever receive the Sprintbooster? Is there anywhere else to get one?

It never came but my money was refunded right before Paypal was about to award it back to me.

Good to hear that you got your money back. So now where can we get our hands on a Sprintbooster?

One of the board sponsors, StealthAuto, is supposed to become a US distributor soon. You might check with them first. Then there are some available on EBAY, but they ship outta Europe.

I'm getting more and more used to the thing. it definitely makes things more responsive and jerky, but i like that. I need to do some real runs and tell. Odds are, i will buy one just to have as a switch up. I am starting to believe that it literally kills the lag. I even noticed that the car begins to creep up on slight inclines where before it just sat. That may indicate that the threshold for the throttle is always above "sleep" mode.

Does anyone have any technical specs from Super Sprint?

After you fully adjust take it out and you'll think what is wrong with my car? Someone stole my blown V8 and replaced it with the engine from a C240

So if you put the car in C with the Sprint Booster and the car starts out in second gear and shifts at lower rpm are you gaining anything over leaving the car in S and not using the Sprint Booster?

With the sprintbooster and the car in C mode, especially on the S/C engines, it is like driving the car in S mode stock but better response and no lag. I am not sure if that makes sense to you.

Screw C mode. I like the jerkiness. That is something people will need to realize and want. The fact that the accelerator curve is steeper is NOT the part I like. Actually, I'm very curious to know what the mapping difference is. the part I do notice is that there appears to have been a minimal threshold to my accelerator which the car ignored before. For example, when i was cruising down the highway and just tapped the gas, nothing would usually happen. Now, the car bucks. It also seems to "jump" off the line better.
How can we get facts from the manufacturer on what it actually does?
I will finish out the week and take it out to see what my reaction is. i still have not done any canyon runs, either. Throttle modulation may be more important to me than this response sensation, if I get into trouble.
Last thing, we need to setup a study to see exactly what (if anything) this does to 60 foot times, etc.

Jangy,

It is what it is... Its a 250 dollar mod.... I say screw the scientific bs... You will see...once you take the s/b off and drive with it you will feel that your beast has a C240 engine.....

Most of the board values your opinion and I guess this is somewhat of an experiment to see what "Jangy" thinks... Turn the non-believers into believers bro... I guess people are wondering what your initial reactions are and what your dyno butt feels. We all know that this mod doesn't add HP....

From that perspective, I'm in. For $250, the "feel" that it gives is worth it to me. I will be getting for sure.
Now, that doesn't change my curiosity to find out what it does and how it works.
Here's the real deal. For daily driving, i love it and see no drawbacks, since I love the harshness of the beast. If I end up thinking that it is not helping at the track or canyons, I will simply remove it before such use. the 5 minute install is true. It is literally that easy to do.

I say you guys set up a group buy or something and I'm in.

Good luck on the group buy. Don't think it's gonna happen. SLKFANS is so hard to get a hold of and recently I read that some people made orders, and 2 weeks later hadn't even heard from him. I do believe they all received their sprintboosters though. Just don't expect a lot of correspondence from him if you order. But he is honest, and will send it.

That said, when I got mine last summer, he emailed me right back and I had it within 10 days.

Then we should go straight to da source. Who makes em? Or we can hold one of our sponsors at gunpoint and have them come up with an identical module.
