called my dealer and they never heard of it. put down a deposit to be first on the list whenever they get the price over the phone. when i get a price ill post it here. if its insane (probably will) ill jump off but damn thats hot!!!

I have inside source that tells me the car would cost around 135K + 775 destination charge, no options, only 5 colors avaliable. Car is very limited, only 300 coming to the US, so if you want one, better get your wallets ready.

The MBUSA website says it has 500hp and 465lbs of torque, so it is the E63 version of the 6.2 engine. Also sounds like they have cut some weight as well. They are projecting 0-60 of 4.1 secs... of course the E63 does that

........actually, there is. MBUSA just elected to only import the convertible to the US, because sales were slow for the hard top. So, does anyone know the specs of the regular hard top CLK63 compared to the black series to see how much of an improvement there is in acceleration, handling etc? Or is this simply a dressed up hard top CLK63 for the US market? The weight savings you refer to is as compared to the convertible which always weighs more. Forinstance the hard top CLK55 weighs 400lbs less than the convertible CLK55. Does the black series weigh any less than a regular hard top CLK63?

I don't remember the last time an MB created so much buzz (maybe the 03 E55). I got BMW-heads emailing me asking if they should buy that car. Excellent marketing!!! I am loving the new direction of MB with this car.
