Put the wood to a new RS4.
Leaving a lunch meeting today, a beauty of a new RS4 passed me just as I was turning onto my southbound route. Interested in getting a closer look and maybe hear the dead-sexy exhaust note, I quickly caught up - right at the stop light.
Rolling the window down, I looked over to ask the owner what that mystery blue was called.......and was greeted by a sneering "hmmph" usually uttered by a gold chain-festooned club kid sporting an M3.
Excuse me?
Maybe the new-car smell had blurred his vision....had he not seen the kompressor badges? Were the Gucci shades squeezing his oily temples to the point of mental retardation? All I wanted to do was compliment him on his car, and he felt the need to be something of an ***.
When the green dropped, I rolled out softly, as did Mr. Grecian Formula. Then he nailed it, trying to catch me out. The RS4 shot out to a 3/4 car lead as the flashing yellow triangle reminded me that traction is a privilege, not a right. When the road finally allowed me enough purchase after the 1-2 shift, I instantly shot 2 cars ahead.
Getting out of the throttle just after 80, I saw the light a full block ahead changing to yellow. Hard on the brakes to give the quattro another chance, he opted out with the ricer fly-by.......through the RED LIGHT !!!
AMG - 1
RS4 - 0 (plus negative style points for un-back-upable sneer)

nice. and the ricer fly-by too. lol. sounds like that lil' bugger was wailin' all the way home. he learned. since my 55 is in repair still, have had loner (e350) for past month. see a lot of car jockeys doin' their thing at the lights-esp. some of the p-cars. miss my 55 Renntech-1...mellow driver here, but have inched up and slight mashed with a number of these pilots-typ not ever a response-they most always leave her be...she's badged so maybe part of it too. prob wonder beyond typical 55/k8 percept, how much more hell would be unleashed etc.

I had near the same experience on the freeway "Look as if I was crazy when I pointed ahead for him to run" Though I can buy the chevy branding confusing to a misinformed, but who in HELL doesn't know what Mercedes AMG? can do Especially someone owning a fellow euro 4 door...

Thanks for the compliments, guys.
The whole slow-roll sneaky launch was the real indicator of what kind of driver I was next to.
I bet he's all over the Audi boards posting how he pulled 3/4 of a car on an E55....

Good kill Way to put him in his place. Those are one of the most gratifying kills when the owner of the other car thinks he's the **** and then Smack Down.
