i'm sure there is some epa bs that goes with it but i've often thought about the same thing you mention except with a toggle switch like mad maxx to override the clutch. this way the car behaves normally except when i want the s/c on all the time. i still see a problem getting someone to write software.

That gets a little deep for me, but i wouldn't mind a more aggressive clutch trigger.

At what RPM does the SC clutch engage?

I'm not sure, but recent rumor has it at about 1500 revs/min. I personally think there is more to it than just RPM. Isn't that what adaptive driving is all about? I assume it is "programmed" to turn on and off. The main issue I would have with having it be fixed is the safety feature of shutting it down when the temps rise. I would need to setup a separate temp system or something. To be honest, I doubt i would be the one pioneering such a mod. I am just cusrious is all.

I'm still after a 170mm with nice dampening.

iirc, the lowest rpm for a stock 55 is 1750 and renntech lowers that to 1200.

I've heard that as well but ... in manual mode 4th gear, the SC definitely engages before 1750.

20+ to list......
I think it's more than just removing a clutch, meaning the whole ECU has to be remapped, not to mention the clutch is probably one of the important pieces that the ECU chooses how the car is run. Too complicated for me, I'm used to roots type blower with no clutch, so I can say I'm still living in the stone age. hahahahaha.
