18'' COMP HRE's: Silver Polish or Black
I am struggling with a simple question, so I thought I would ask my fellow forum members. What would look better on a silver E55, silver or black HRE's? I have heard that black HREs in 18's will make my wheels look really small. Thus, I might be better of going with silver polish HRE's. I can't go any bigger than 18's due to the limitations that will arise when buying tires. I know it is a matter of personal preference, but if anyone has seen black or silver polish HREs in 18s and can comment it would be very helpful.

a midtone gray will keep in tact the actual look size of it... anything too dark will generally make it look visually smaller unless u balance it off with a lot of metallic flake to give it some dimension and depth. the flakes make a big difference. i've seen all black wheels (including lip) on a silver and it looked crazy, i didn't sense that smaller look feel though.

edit: if u have a side picture of the HREs installed on any car send it to me and i'll photoshop it

is Sick as Fu*k
I was going to get new wheels in black, but after a long debate with myself, Im going with Anthercite wheels (gunmetal) on my white E55...its diffrent not to many people go with that color choice, the color is similar to the SL65/CL65 Wheels with a chrome lip...In my opinion (NO OFFENSE TO ANYONE) But black is killed, I had black wheels 3 years ago... Its just an old look, dont get me wrong black wheels always look SICK, and will always look SICK, but its an old look nothing we havnt seen before. But Silver cars do look great with black wheels I must say. Ill be posting pics of my new wheels on my car soon give me till the week end.

also remember that if your doing the Competition series (C20,C21, C22) you will get a step lip, so my suggestion would be on the competition to do full polish so it doesnt look as small...
shoot me a PM and we can discuss Pricing/availability.
