Chip and pulley help... any input would be appreciated

I've finally gotten around to modifying my car but there are a few things i would like to get input on first. I have an 03 E55... it has 48K miles on it... would it be ok to still do the chip and pulley mod on this? how much will it decrease the reliability of my vehicle? Will it still go to 100K miles? also, i heard that some of these chip and pulley kits are covered under the mfg's warranty as long as the dealer installs them? is that true? i've looked around and seen about $5K to do the chip and pulley, does that sound about right? who would you recommend?

thanks in advance guy

2020 S560,14 ml350, 03 sl55, silver, pano, slr cams, evo headers, lsd, 2019 s63 cab.
please do a search. dealer will cover standard warranty. just do the upgrades and don't discuss it with the dealer. they will most likely not know. warranty will still be covered. get asp pulley set. least expensive, get speedtuningusa.com ecu upgrade, get vruss 80mm throttle body upgrade for starters. reliablity of car will not be a problem. these engines are very strong.

I would not wory about the mileage on your ride. These engines are hand-built and designed to last. My advice would be not to waste time and go for a Kleemann package right away. You will see some respectible power gains with no headaches or reliablilty issues......

i would research the ASP pully before you get it! living in chicago your not near any of the big name homebased shops. so i would find the best shop in your area and install what they have! if not you gotta go renntech IMO.

Kleeman K1. Its a stock pulley modified. ASP may be cheap and produce the most gains but you have to also replace the water pump pulley i believe and use a new belt. With kleeman you just have to replace the stock pulley with the modified stock pulley from kleeman. I had mine in and visited the shop for a few engine check and they didn't even notice...

Also check the price tag. NOt sure how much renntech is charging but I believe kleeman is a bit cheaper....
