Replacement for PS2

6k miles seems a bit extreme even for PS2's. I am not a slouch in my car, as I probably hit the 150 mph mark daily but my PS2's still lasted about 12k miles. Coalman are you lighting your up everytime from a dig?

Not sure if the Bridgestones are any better for wear...I only have 500 miles on them at the moment but they're worth a shot. I'll do a canyon run this weekend and see how they handle compared to the PS2's. The vibration at higher speeds has been eliminated though.
I have found that most 45-35 series get noisy after 6-7K miles and by 9-11K miles have a definite wear pattern due in part to our staggered setup. I now use the Kumho ECSTA they are 1 of 5 tires that have the load rating for the E 55. I talked to Luke at the Tire Rack and he said the PS2 worked best on the E55. But did not dissuade me from the Kumhos, at the time last Sept tires (set of 4)and shipping was less than $500. I now see they are on the Tire Racks best seller list and may be over $600 (set)
My though is I want tires that I can throw away at 6K mi.,and at less than half the cost of PS2s, I would rather have fresh rubber 2X.

Yeah I mean, that's my point. Its like the POWER button in my M5, its driver's preference as to how much power you want. If you're in Jangy's corner, you can keep the thing engaged in the damn supermarket parking lot, if you're being hurt by these insane gas prices ($80 to fill up my damn Esco) you can switch the thing off and get sick gas mileage.
