Oil catch can question.
This may sound like a dumb question but the oil that the can catches, is there anything wrong with it? Why not put it back in the crank case as long as you change your oil regularly?

It's already done in Mexico but they have a special filter they run it through before putting it back into the crankcase.

This oil gets in the intake tract and dilutes the air/fuel charge and causes detonation.

When I took my surge tanks and TB off there was oil in both. If Finny's gunk build up is from that, it's scary to me for my engine. According to Vrus there are two breathers, not just the one to the TB base. Two cans?
When Victor was trying to install his AMW can he had trouble with the hose and fitting sizes, too small. I wonder if there were enough of us for the E55 if they would make the can to our needs?

Great idea. Visual people with limited mechanical knowledge but reasonable hands will need lots of pictures for the instal.

That sounds good to me. I want to see if AMW will make a can that fits our hoses. I would also want the fittings to be the same ID as the fittings for the current hose so there would be no restriction. Don't want to match the hose ID only to restrict it with a smaller ID fitting.
